I fully expect people will make this Chewie look awesome, but like the first version, it'll need a lot of work

Yeah, there's a few comments about the actual figure--couple optimistic, Matt's comment (which even if he's 100% serious, who cares?), a few with mild criticism--and then 15 posts commenting and agreeing about how nobody should be making any reaction to the figure yet.

Sorry guys - yeah, I had a knee jerk reaction to that one pic....I never learn, truly. It's just that it's such a bad pic.

This all may be fake?

There have been ALOT of fake ebay sales lately..... Selling RO figures that have not been released...etc etc.....

Having actually BEEN to the Toy Sapiens in Tokyo, They actually did not have any figures in stock too much earlier than any other outlet......maybe 1 month or so......

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Joking apart, I know that it seems odd since we didn't have any information on the Hot Toys Facebook for the release, like they always did until now.
But the point is that Chewbacca TFA was released in Japan before HK.

The post itself says that chewbacca was release on the 31rd of January before Hong Kong release.

Also got the confirmation from their customer service department and Chewie is also in stock on Amazon Jp.
I was just sharing information, no interest for me to create any "fake news"

By the way, I went to the Toy Sapiens in Shibuya myself a couple of times since I live in Tokyo for 3 years, and yes they don't have so much figures in stock earlier.

My guess is that the fiscal year in Japan close at the end of March and since the figure is probably already ready at Hot Toys, they got the permission to sell it earlier since a lot figures are scheduled for 2017-2018 fiscal year. Hong Kong might be waiting the release of Han to promote the release of the pack. Just a personal guess, I am probably wrong.

The gap between the mouth and the nose looks even larger than on the last figure. But relax everybody, I'm sure the nose and mouth can be futzed closer together, or they just stiffed Japan by giving them the bad samples.

If your spending silly money for these figures now you would expect accuracy and not have to take these figures apart to do THIER job for them. The ANH Chewbacca is far superior to this version!!
