A few of you asked to see the SSC helmet on the HT body. I too was curious. I must say, it doesn't look too bad.

What I don't understand is how everyone is getting the wookiee braids wrong.

ESB = Black Silver Blonde
ROTJ = Black Brown Blonde

SSC ESB Fett has Brown Silver Blonde
HT ROTJ Fett has Brown Silver Blonde

????

The SE ROTJ Fett braids are totally different, so maybe that's where the mix-up is coming from (and HT seems to have used the touring suit as ref more than the screen-used suit.)

Seems like most common ROTJ ones are very thin black (with white and light blue wraps) and blondish (with maroon and black wraps) most visible then a kind of donut that hangs under the armpit that's almost a grey with black long hair clump with large white beads. The SE ones are thicker and do look more like rope than hair (though they are hair.) Between the various suits, the braids seem to have varied quite a bit.

Oh man, now youre going to send me down the ROTJ braid rabbit hole haha. Of course, youre right about the ESB braids as well. I just went ahead and made custom braids for my ESB boba. When you fix them on your ROTJ boba, please post some pics

duuuude chakaman.... love your collar gap. looks like a movie still. really nice. I still need to fix that on my ESB fett. I just finally set up a place to display my figures so I'm now getting on the tinkering boat. Up until now all my figures were mostly just in boxes! Exciting times

I haven't opened my ROTJ yet, still messing around with my ESB, I need to go back in time and look at the ESB thread, I know most commonly people warmed up the ab plate to round it a bit, no idea how to take these plates off, but when I do Ill make sure to give it a nice collar gap like the one you have on your ROTJ.

What I did do though, thanks to a fellow freak, is source some ROTJ braids, since the ESB braids look pretty poor, simply just permanent markered over the brown to make it blonde silver and black (ESB colors) - I think it turned out pretty nice. Definitely nicer braids all around.

the original braids were pretty easily removed, leaves a nice little loop there for you to slide the new braids into

if anyone has advice on how to remove the ESB plates so I can re-position and do the ab plate bend, please refresh my memory, thank you!

Just be careful. Pernament marker could leave a stain after long period of time.

Thanks for that. You really have to hand it to SSC for so closely matching the screen-used helmet's weathering - HT sorta kinda took a shot at it.

In all honesty, I'm not sure either helmet really nails the shape/look of the respective movies' helmets, but they are both very, very nicely done. The HT paint really does look incredible (it could pass for a full size helmet in the right lighting,) even if it's weathering is not accurate like the SSC is. HT narrowed the T visor a bit, though not quite enough.

Just be careful. Pernament marker could leave a stain after long period of time.

Yeah, using layers of thinned paints would always be the best way to go in the long run.

Can we see the HT backpack on SS Fett?

Are you going to repaint it to ESB colors? Be interesting if someone tried that. There's a bit of a size difference between the HT and SSC jetpacks.

Since I have decided to keep my SS I went and purchased the HT Backpack off Ebay. Kind of a gamble as I did not do my research to see if it will fit and if it does how it will look. Overall my loss will be $23 worth the gamble I guess!!

You'd have to modify the backpack for it to fit. The perpendicular hooks on the HT are very wide compared to the ones on the SS.

Yeah not sure what I'll do (or even do it), I guess after going to the collectable store seeing HT FETT on display and deciding not to purchase, the only thing I missed not owning was the jet pack.

Still interested in learning how to take the armor plates off the ESB to create that collar gap and bring the plates closer together, anyone know where I can find that info, or can c/p it to me? I'd like to bend the ab plate a touch too.
