Here is my Fett ,

water treated the wookie braids to tame them a bit

added clear heatshrink tubes 1.5mm OD to the rubber hoses for accuracy , weathered the lower legs of the suit , repainted the shin tools .

Damn, looks great. Regarding the water treatment for the Wookiee scalps, did you use hot or cold water?

I own the 1/4 Boba Fett from Hot Toys and I love it. I have been considering this 1/6 scale, though, even if both are virtually identical. Since the 1/4 and 1/6 versions of Boba Fett have come along from Hot Toys, I have kind of lost interest in the Sideshow ESB Boba Fett. I also have Sideshow's Boba Fett prototype white armor. Is this worth picking up even if you have the 1/4 scale version? I really do like the look of it, but I have been on the fence about it for a while.

I am a huge Boba Fett fan but have decided to skip the Hot Toys 1/6th scale version. I've never had complaints about my Sideshow Fetts and I have 3 (ESB, Jango, Proto) and they all look good and "consistent" together.

I also have the 1/4 scale version and I am blown away by that. Again, I'm a huge fan but I just couldn't justify another Boba Fett...I'm happy with all I have and understand there are def problems with the SS Fetts but that doesn't bother me at all. There are problems with every figure and even the Boba Fett from scene to scene in the movie has parts that look a bit out of place.

I think if you are getting the HT version than get the Deluxe. The Sarlacc Stand (while again inconsistent) and the jet pack effects make this a unique figure from the Sideshow and from the 1/4 scale version. Otherwise you simply have a smaller, less detailed/accurate (possibly) version of the ROTJ Fett.
I feel with my collection that while I have 3 Boba Fetts I feel they are all justified in that they are all 3 diff suits (ROTJ, ESB, Proto) and one in a diff scale. And the HT version would give you a unique look if you display it with the Sarlacc. Otherwise I don't see it really standing out in a collection with other Fetts.

hi , u used soapy water , seems to do the trick , you will need to then sort rub it with your fingers and the ends will eventually go more soft fluffy hair like

Appreciate the feedback. The Fett variants are not as cumbersome as the Stormtroopers or Iron Man releases. I may still get the 1/6 Boba from Hot Toys, but I'm not really a fan of the Sarlacc display base. Since people are already praising this Fett as the best 1/6 version of the character thus far, I will probably give in. It's just hard to decide given there is little difference between the 1/6 and 1/4 Hot Toys versions. Unlike the Stormtroopers or Iron Man repaints, there's not much variation to justify this for me as a purchase - and besides that, I'm bogged down in preorders at the moment.

That's a nice display, BTW. :)

I think I prefer the Sideshow Knee guards, they are hard plastic and the knee darts are better sculpted then hot toys. I dont like how the hot toys knee gaurds are rubber and the plastic flashing on the darts themselves look like hot toys really cheaped out on us

Thank you!
The other issue that comes to mind is the fact Boba Fett is argualbly the most popular Star Wars Figure ever (def most popular in relation to screen time). Hot Toys WILL cash in on this. So I'm assuming we will def see an ESB version (with Han in Carbonite), maybe a variant.

I would do irrational things for an ESB version with Han in Carbonite. Unspeakable things

Due to arrive on Friday from Collectibles Direct.

But I've lost a lot of interest since I pre-ordered last August. There've been so many other more interesting figures announced in the meantime that I'm more looking forward to.

I think I might be Star Warsed out. Not even sure about ordering the Jumptrooper.

He might surprise you, Kuat. I was completely losing interest in him, but then couldn't believe how much I liked him. But I had no Boba in my collection, so that might have been part of it.

Ha! I find myself feeling that way a lot too. I think it’s just such a long wait time between announcement/pre-order to the release that you just naturally end up losing any enthusiasm you had. I mean, most of the time it’s a full year! And you’re right—in that wait time, there are so many other things that are announced that it tends to steal the thunder on whatever you have on order already.

That’s partially why I drag my feet when ordering anything. I want to make sure I really WANT the figure before I place the order, and am not caught up with the excitement of the announcement. I usually wait at least til the $20 monthly code comes up anyway, but recently I’ve been testing my patience by waiting til something actually comes out before I really decide to buy.

I'm trying to do that with Yoda and old Han. Plus with figures like Finn that really changed it definitely at least makes sense to wait until the blogger pictures come out as you might be in for a surprise otherwise.
