I give them props for trying to give a little display option with the Sarlaac. Not my thing but people will dig it. I know this sounds crazy but my big turn-off about it is that it's the "special edition" Sarlaac with that friggin beak....ugh

I don't get why they used Death Star platform for the normal stand? They should a re-used Sand Troopers at least.

This guy is looking good. Hope we eventually see some comparison pics with SS ESB Fett. I'm sure this is better, but I don't feel the need to have both Fett's & I prefer the ESB version if I only have one. Plus if I get the itch the to buy something, it's a tough toss up between this or a Sandtrooper, and still interested in Kylo Ren as the only TFA fig I might purchase. Although it would be nice to pic this up eventually. Hopefully he'll be around for quite awhile, or at least a candidate for a 2nd run like HT is doing with the Han, Chewie, Obi, & Vader. The deluxe will most likely be gone, but I'd never ever use the base or jet pack flame effects. If I was buying it now I'd get it since it's only a $25 difference, but won't be upset if I miss out on the deluxe either.. But I love looking at all the pictures and comparisons.

I will buy the standard version and save the extra dollars for shipping ect. I wish the regular version comes with the flame effect but it's not worth paying more for it since I won't be using the sarlacc base. Sideshow is no comparison to HT and it wouldn't be fair since SS is ESB version. I bet SS still has the boxy chest when compared to the prior version which I bought and was disappointed w/.

I thought it was a deeper kinda rusted red ala jabba's Palace metal grates.

I think they used the same stand that comes with Vader. It's a darker red than the Stormtrooper stands.

It should have been the sand covered stand or a completely new one that mimics Jabbas palace. Then they could have used it for Jedi Luke, carbonite Han, Boushh and Chewie prisoner 2-pack, Leia as Jabba's prisoner and Skiff Guard Lando. Sorry, I may be getting ahead of myself.

Uniformity? My Bespin Luke's and Sandtrooper stand out like a sore thumb now.

Im thinking that mini Sarlacc base would be cool as a stand alone piece or even used for some Hasbro figures.
...Certainly doesn't work for what it was intended. Why we didnt get the sail barge base like the 1/4 blows my mind.

I think it's pretty cool that hot toys gave the option whether or not to buy the stand. I understand why others don't care to have it but for me it's worth $25 easily.
