i thought she was great in the movie as well, was not going to get any figures from the film, but that head with the horns is stunning. I may just pull the trigger on it since there is so much coming out that i am passing on that i have no interest in

Yeah, the full mask helm has the super huge antlers.

This version of the helm does, too. I really hope Hot Toys eventually adds them.

Cool. I didn't think of those as the super huge antlers though. More these that extend way out past her shoulders.

Not randomly. If i recall correctly she does that by pulling hair back, going both hands over the head.

Ok, but why does this happen? And what is the point?

Why not just have long flowing hair all the time?

That seems like a question more suited for the Marvel Studios team... My best guess, Asgardians are extravagant and like to look fabulous and intimidating when they battle.

Based on the movie,
it seems like an aesthetic she picked up from Odin back when he was a conqueror and they conquered worlds together. In the old mural he had a helmet with huge horns as well.

Either way, it seem Thor was the offspring of Odin that cared more about their hair. The Goddess of Death need not concern herself with such trivialities.

Ah, got it. Yeah, those would rock. I wish that amazing shot from the trailer had made it into the final film. At least we got this, even though the antlers are smaller here unfortunately:

The figure could really use some form of these, since it would help fill the scythes' spacing around her ocular lobe.

This sculpt has a very good likeness to Cate Blanchett.

I only thought the movie was so-so and was on the fence for getting any of the Ragnarok figures - but anytime an artist/company nails the likeness to an actor I like, I usually end up buying the figures.

The antlers also look like a dead tarantula turned upside down when wasps plant larvae in them. More menacing image. Wonder if that's what Jack Kirby intended?

I like this a lot but will wait to order in case there is a Deluxe version with full mask. I don't mind paying more for it. The long hair version would be nice too but I'll only display the full mask version.

The shoulder joints should be seamless. Cate Blanchett deserves that.

Also I saw this prototype before the movie but Cate Blanchett isn't this bulky in the movie. She had a thin waist and curvy hips. I'm guessing the prototype used a generic body but a more accurate body would look better. Such a great performance deserves Hot Toys going the extra mile.

There's about a 2% chance an alternate version of this figure gets released. But you might get a discount later if you wait awhile. . .

If there was a deluxe version, it would have been put up for order already.

I love the figure and sculpt after seeing some of these pics, I'll definitely order once I have some rewards saved up.
