My dad worked long hours...really long hours...during the week. But he was there for WWF Superstars of Wrestling on Saturdays. And he usually rented a couple of videotapes of the good stuff - '80s action flicks and WWF PPVs.

That's awesome. I was lucky growing up that my parents let me watch pretty much what I wanted. Action flicks and slasher films were my thing; my uncle owned a video store so I always was checking something new out. My dad pulled out a ring binder with my old artwork dated 91-92, so that put me at 5-6 years old...filled with Terminator, Freddy, Jason, Myers, Hellraiser....one picture that still cracks me up is some generic slasher dude in a graveyard holding a severed head with the caption "love you mommy and daddy"....haha...these days you'd be institutionalized!

Wish my parents were into wrestling, did you guys go to live shows growing up?

At least your pops was into rasslin'. My dad never understood it.:slap
he always told me it was fake

Now in his old age, he's trying to convince me the mermaid special on tlc was real(obvious fake)
Seems like old people revert back to a kid like state of thinking

Nope. But we did see monster trucks once. ;)

Things tend to come full circle, don't they? :lol The elderly often need as much care as any infant.

Can you imagine these 2 starring together in a big action flick when they were both back in their prime?....I don't think I ever saw them in anything together before Expendables came out...

First VHS we ever rented in '88 was RoboCop. My dad propped me up in front of the tv and we watched it together. I still remember freaking out at Emil all melted.
