the red and white fabric around my cap's waist isn't sewn together quite symmetrically under the star but it doesn't really bother me

what does bother me a little is the strange positioning of the knee pads but it looks like every figure is the same when it comes to that

Yeah, those knee pads are a pretty ubiquitous issue.

When each figure is hand crafted as they are, not every one is going to look exactly the same as the next. Them being hand made is part of what makes them so detailed, pricey and valuable, as opposed to being mass produced by a machine.

I tried getting a replacement for gamora, I got the first batch and her eyes were wonky, but they responded:

"Thank you for providing the extra picture in your last email. After holding our display up next to the picture you have provided, the eyes match our display here. However, per your request I have processed an RMA for you to return the figure to us for the product price only refund. You will receive an automated email within 24 hours with instructions on how to proceed.

If you should have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.

Best regards, Brennan Mount"

he then said : "As I stated previously, your Gamora is typical of all of these figures. If you should choose to order another figure, you are more than welcome to do so but I can assure you that the eyes will look the same. I would just like to disclose that to you before you confirm that this is what you would like to do.

I ended up returning and paying shipping, I am yet to order another

I never had a problem getting an exchange, until this brennan mount person showed up. Without going into a long story, i had a heartbreaker and a 42 with paint defects and he wouldnt give me a replacement. He told me there all like this and i would just have to return it. I've been collecting hot toys for a long time now, i know the difference between a paint defect and a normal paint job. If other sites offered a payment program like sideshow, i would take my business elsewhere. I've been buying from them for many years now and have never had a issue with them, until this guy showed up.

Though I can understand SS's perspective based on what I mentioned about opening shipping crate after shipping crate and box after box to find the "perfect" one, I recall that when I contacted SS last month about a possible issue, I got the exact same response from this Brennan Mount saying that their display has exactly the same issue as whatever you're reporting.

Knowing that it's from this same individual and he apparently gives the same answer for any figure regardless of the reported issue, raises some eyebrows. Then again, he is new there, so it's possible he's simply being told from above that's what the standard reply is supposed to be. If that's the case with him being new, I'd go over his head and ask if I can speak to someone above him with more authority and pull.

I can't stand when they say that. I bought the ML guardians of the galaxy box set from my LCS and the figures had molding defects. I brought it in to show them and get an exchange but they told they were all gonna be like that. They still gave me a replacement while telling me they won't be able to sell the other one because it's open. Sure enough, the new one didn't have any defects.

Out of mere curiosity, I have an extra/spare AoU vest where the zipper came off of the track/teeth on one side and just slides up and down on the one side that it's on. The zipper is supposed to zip up downward, which makes it tricky Does anyone know how to go about getting it back on?

Brennan also handled my request for a replacement chest for a paint issue but told me non was available but I could return it so I did. It was too expensive to have a defect like mine had.

no Daniel Campisi does it too but he'll give you the same "canned" responses

Campisi is the one who sent me a new Arkham Batman head no problem. The figure was perfect except for a scratch about 1/2 inch long going down the head towards the forehead. Its the only issue i have ever had with 35+figures ordered from SSC and am very satisfied with how they handled it. Just my two cents.

Brennan is a total choad. He's the one that gave me issues with my damaged premium format and told me all of them looked that bad. Except I placed a second order and received a flawless one. Whatever. Terrible customer service.

Yeah, i can't complain i have bought more than i care to admit over the past 4 years and only had a few issues but SS has always sent me out a replacement (PF or 1/6) within a week. No place is perfect but they are pretty good imo.

As a test, you should report a minor "issue" with one of your figures. Make something up that's "wrong" with the figure that actually isn't and see if he replies back stating that their display figure is showing the same issue and assuring you that all of those particular figures are that way and have that "defect".

If he does, you know he's slinging bull.

What I think it personally comes down to is SS or he perhaps views sending out a replacement figure and/or a part off of a figure as being the loss of a potential sale for them; especially if the figure is limited in stock. Your replacement could possibly have been a separate sale to another customer from their perspective.

I've lucked out and have yet to really receive a bad or defect figure from SS out of the several I've purchased. I initially thought I did in AoU Cap, but after research determined on my own that it didn't appear to be defective after all. However, when I did initially contact them regarding it, I got the same e-mail that everyone else seems to be receiving from this individual who indeed do have issues with any particular figure.

Alternatively, if all else fails and SS refuses to budge, you could try contacting HT for a warranty replacement.

One of the fingers on my Heartbreaker's articulated-fingered hand couldn't move and I contacted HT about it, since the local retailer had a strict no exchange/refund policy. HT duly honored the warranty as it was purchased from an official distributor (like SS is) and sent me a replacement hand which arrived in my mail in about a week or so.

Campisi is the one I was dealing with about my Stealth Mode Iron Man Mark VII stand issue. I could not get anything out of him other than return it for a full refund.

I get that with a LE figure their hands are tied somewhat, but throw a promo code or coupon at me or something. Surely they have the power to do that, no?

Haha. Thanks Brainy! :hi5:

It's actually meant to be a GIF, which would make it even funnier, but my settings don't allow for me to use GIFs as a signature. I thought it was still funny even as a still image though. :lol

Yeah you have to be Premium to use them, although I seen someone with a GIF sig that wasnt :dunno WTH :lol
and yeah Its still funny as hell :rotfl
