seeing the problems people here are having acquiring this fig for a reasonable price are the exact reason I put in my pre-order on any HT fig I really want the second it becomes available

that way I'm always guaranteed one

the early bird gets the worm as they say

already had my LCS owner try to buy mine off me for a pretty ridiculous price but he low balled me big time on a couple great figs in the past so he gets nothing!

I think people got used to how things were last year, overpriced figures and sets sticking around for months. The general line of thought was "I'll just wait for a discount".

I think the points have been driven in so many times that when you snooze you lose, you had ample to time to order cause it was around for months, it was not limited, it was just a popular figure, go to eBay and pay over retail if you really want it. And people are sick of hearing it over and over again. I think we all got it now. All you're doing with lecturing is aggravating people when you say things over and over again. The best solution I heard is wait for the Civil War Cap movie, he should have on a slightly different outfit. Now let's see more pictures and none of what you should have done to get 1.

Also factor in the addition of the Star Wars lines, both OT and FA. HT is making a set amount of figures and moving on quickly. People were also surprised at how fast the Stormtroopers sold out too.

Are you talking to me?

I"ve have 150 posts on here in two years and this is the first time I've posted anything about feeling lucky to get a highly sought after figure for retail price.

Best thing to do BeefEaster is just ignore him at this point.

I concur in thinking that this is the line of thought that many have.

Hey guys! So here he is finally, just took a few quick pics and slapped some junky iPhone filters on but just wanted to show off my newest acquisition! I really love the look its so awesome in person and the articulation is everything you'd expect from this kind of figure. the ab crunch isn't the greatest but I think he looks so good just standing there, no need to go crazy dynamic. My one only nit pick so far with him are the hands they are a pain to switch in and out which I know some others have stated on here before. The excess fabric underneath gets caught on all the other gloves, except for the fists that came on him and you can't see where the peg is going into the hole lol. But I'll get it eventually. Overall, he is a great figure very happy I have him now! :)

Awesome pictures mustang, congrats on acquiring him. He truly is a beautiful figure; by far the best Cap to date. I'm not sure if you do it already, but a helpful tip I found when attaching the hands to the arms (ideal for any figure really) is to first stick the peg into the socket in the hand, then attach the hand into the arm with the peg already in the hand as opposed to trying to attach the hand onto the arm with the peg in the arm socket.

Thanks! I know iPhone pics with unfavorable lightning isn't best but one of these days I'm going to get a small light box setup for photograph sessions. And yes thats actually a great idea with the wrist pegs thank you for the advice!

For those who missed out, CW Cap will be similar enough that you shouldn't be too concerned. That's why I didn't pull the trigger on this guy in time, I couldn't decide which outfit I preferred.

AOU Cap will still have the better more classic looking suit than CW Cap...so AOU Cap still gets the win

Yeah, but that red on the chest...

It's a toss-up for me.

That's exactly what I like about the CW suit over the AoU suit, is that the CW doesn't have the red pattern on the chest around the star. However, I like the white stripes around the biceps on the AoU suit and I slightly like the AoU boots over the CW boots, from what I've seen so far at least.

No doubt. The CW suit is probably my second favorite suit, after AoU. I have AoU Cap, but I'll still undoubtedly pre-order CW Cap the first day because I'm a staunch Cap fan. I have all the Cap figures (including civvy Steve) thus far.

Even though it's my second favorite suit, the CW Cap may end up being my favorite figure just because I like the premise and where the storyline is at in CW, so the figure represents that. That is presuming the body on the CW figure is going to be the same body (sans the magnets in the arms) they used on the AoU figure, because I think they nailed the body on the AoU figure.

Congrats on the get, glad to hear you like him so much. :duff
