Still the best cap to date I still have mine and I sold off the rest. Really awesome figure.

Took an old pic and decided to tweak it up a bit.

What a lovely shot! :clap

Well... if you don't care for the alternate angry mouth-piece I would pick the AoU. (I only have the CW-version) Putting on the shield is such hassle and a lot of us, including me, have already snapped some of the straps or diecast pieces from the shield.

AoU gets my vote. Shield magnets. White bicep stripes. Classic theme combined with modern appeal, realism and utility.

Disclaimer: I do own one AoU version.

CW is good to but I'd grab AoU first if given choice every time.

I'll be the naysayer and say CW Cap, hands down. More 'classic' look, and the faceplate is great.

I had zero problems with my shield :dunno (I own both, and A1)

I prefer the colors of the aou version. If I buy a cw head do the colors match? I've also thought about putting the first avengers red boots and gloves has anyone done this before?

I thought about giving AOU cap the red boots and gloves from the original Avengers Cap too!! Ultimately I didn't due to the fact I couldn't find the parts (hands, gauntlets, boots) for reasonable enough prices. A member on here did do it and posted pics somewhere in this thread. It looked nice.

Just remembered I saved the pics and found them,... Again, not mine and not sure which member to give credit to...

Maybe one day i'll find the parts cheap enough. The guantlets are hard to come by, and the boots alone I never saw for less than like $60. A hand set even for $15 - $30 (if you want all 7 variations). All in all it would cost over $100.. You'd be better off buying an Avengers Cap, taking what you need and selling off the rest. Thought about doing that too.

AoU vs CW Cap is a tough call.

I'd probably say CW, mostly because of the suit. The magnetic shield of AoU Cap is obviously way more convenient, but it's not classic CA. I like the design of the AoU suit, but what I like even more is how the CW suit still takes components of that design while mixing them with classic design components. The magnetic interchangeable faceplates are cool as well.

Body wise, there's something just very, very slightly off about the CW body to me. Almost like it's a bit too top heavy and the upper body is slightly out of proportion with the legs.

I dont know why but i have extra Avengers Cap gauntlets and hand set but I would need the boots to match. If I had the boots I would change it up It looks good that way.
