This sculpt is 100% PERFECT. That is 100% Princess Leia.

If someone isn't happy with this figure, you should start collecting photos of the actors and display THOSE in your deltof.

THIS x100000000000.

Wow, I don't know if I'm looking at the same figure as some posting here, but I think it's great. Not sure if some are sincere when they say they don't see Fisher there. With the expectations as high as they are these days, I think if they shrunk the actual person down to 1/6, it still wouldn't be good enough.

Oh my god. They could shrink fisher down to 10 inches and lock her in a box and you'd all say it looks nothing like her.

Seeing this in person the likeness is probably the best of all the HT Star Wars. The dress is layered and translucent in places just like the original costume.

Face blindness is a real issue. Lol

When you know people look at pictures of people they know (say brother, sister, mom) and ask "who's that?"..you understand people are A LOT worse at faces then we like to admit. Lol

And it's for this reason why I would get Leia with the space buns hair. It's her most iconic look with the exception of the metal bikini ( and i'd rather get a statue of that). Not very many people are going to look at this and say "who's that?"

ok, most people agree now that the sculpt is a masterwork.

Let's cheer this thread up: how tall will this figure be? any comparison pics? :monkey3

And while we're at it how much will it cost? Big NRD too I hope :D

She wouldn't, she'd be 10" bloody tall. ;) Hehe.

That's easy to see from the photos too, IMO. Only the dead-on straight shot shows deviance worth mentioning, even if it's not significant. I said "good enough" and stand by that, but not to say it's bad in any way, just that nothing can ever be perfect, there's always room for improvement, even if shrinking down the original. ;)

The dress is layered and translucent in places just like the original costume.

The most worrisome part about the costume is the ribbed texture and the weight of the fabric at scale. The original was silk right? If it can be futzed then all's mostly good, even if something with less texture might be a better fit. A fabric that drapes more effortlessly could work better - think Deluxe Vader's cape, only white and more sheer.

I don't think the dress is layered in the movie -- maybe you're thinking of the Ceremonial Dress.

Main dress is heavy material, clingy and somewhat sheer.

I'm also hoping they didn't give her a noticeable back-side like some of their other female figures. That would be distracting to say the least. ;)

I have one of Tony Mei's Man of Steel Cape and it drapes beautifully. It's the exact material that this outfit should be made out from. It's thin, soft and just drapes down naturally.

I don't expect Hot Toys to be able to achieve that though since they usually don't do clothes that drape that well. They're too thick and they just end up looking stiff. Her outfit needs to look like it has some weight to it but it doesn't.

I know Tony has used Rayon in the past, but I have no idea what that particular cape is made of. Very nice drape though.

I just can't imagine HT won't change the dress material on this one.

Yeah it was basically just a simple knit fabric that Sideshow used for that cape, and I'm sure the same thing would work great for Leia's costume as well.

If nothing else, it's such a basic outfit it would probably be easy just to sew one up ourselves. Doesn't look like there's anything too complicated about it.

"Honey, come put the kids to bed."

"Hold on a second woman! I'm finishing up sewing this sheer gown for my doll"
