Yeah I heard most people will go out tonight. It's not ideal, but when you consider the dock was off for like 4 days plus sideshow has employees I'm sure that took time off...so it happens.

Yay, shipped!

I'm glad they came in when they did or I might have had to wait til the SS employees got back from Christmas vacation.:wink1:

It's about time lol.. Now I can complain about $20 shipping taking a week to get to me lol.

I see that same story a lot here, it makes me suspicious of UPS drivers and whether they actually knock or even bother to bring the package to the door :ohbfrank:

I would sit in the bushes next to the door and wait and see, if he doesn't knock jump out with a sword and scream "CHIMICHANGA" :rotfl

I know my previous UPS driver was one of the laziest people on the planet. There's been multiple times where I'll check the website and it'll say that delivery was attempted and a notice was left on the door. but there's never a notice. I live on the second floor of an apartment building and I guess sometimes those 15 steps were too much for him some days.

There was one time I paid a cazy amount to get something overnight and he pulled that crap so I called UPS and explained things and they were not happy. He showed up at about 8:30 that night with my package. they must have contacted him and ripped him a new one cause I didn't have any problems after that.

I have a new delivery guy now and he's really cool, always knocks loudly and waits. Plus dude looks like a young Val Kilmer and is always very polite and chipper. I honestly have no idea why he works for UPS after winning the genetic lottery.

True.. But you would think they would've been prepared for that. They're not a small mom and pop operation. It should be obvious that when something is shipped around the holidays delays are inevitable. I just wish they would've sent emails stating that rather than only answering the question when reached out to.

I mean, they constantly send emails.. Deals, giveaways, incoming warning, expected ship dates etc. I'd like to think they have some sort of relationship with the shipping company they used and should've been able to prepare their customers for a minor mess like this.

At the end of the day it's not a HUGE deal to me, I guess I just expect a little better unsolicited communication when problems like these pop up.

This is my main issue, I don't care that it took so long to ship(ok, maybe I care a little).

It's the fact that they charge overnight shipping rates but then send it using the cheapest option available, and they don't even put HTs in a shipping box with any sort of packing material. They just send it in the brown shipper and you have to hope it's handled carefully enough not to puncture that 1/3 inch of cardboard.

And when you get it, it'll say on the slip that the package weighs twice as much as it actually does, which is how I'm assuming they get away with jacking up the cost.

I'm really glad I took motuxmen's advice and signed up at UPS.com. Now I don't have to worry about missing the delivery guy.

Hopefully Kilmer can stay healthy.

I hope you don't have to complain about a figure defect. [emoji28]

Lol. Knock on wood. It generally takes something really wrong for me to return or exchange. And if anything is wrong, I'd much rather it be something that can be easily replaced.

I was thinking about signing up for that ups auto sig thing but I live in a small town and ups has a habit of sometimes transferring deliver duties to USPS once it gets in town.

which is just horrible because I no longer have a way to track the package and USPS just doesn't give a single crap about when they get your stuff to you, it can sit at their local facility for days sometimes.

edit: I checked it out and it was a painless process so I went ahead and signed up, thanks Motuxmen.

I said a couple weeks ago that i really did expect it not to ship until December because of the holidays because like you said delays are going to happen. If you taking away the holiday it was only a day late (I consider Thursday thru Sunday holiday family/friend time). But it's on the way so it doesnt matter anymore.

Guess I'm in the clear. It now says order processing. So I'm assuming he'll ship in the next day or two for me.

Yeah.. I posted a couple pages ago that I bought masterpiece inferno from HLJ.. Shipping was a little under $2 more, and the tracking number was sent the day I paid (on Friday the 25th) and it arrived Monday the 28th.. From Japan. The box it arrived in isn't massively larger than the average hot toys box.

Yeah, I understand that, but the delay should've been detected by them and they should inform their customers.. After all not all of them celebrate thanksgiving.

"We may not see any online changes or cancellations in time, so you must call us by Monday, November 21! If you wait until the processing day to contact us, your order may have already been charged and shipped that morning.".. I mean, they know the date, I imagine all of them know that thanksgiving is that week. I would think they're smart enough to anticipate the delay. A weeks worth of processing + no update is just a bit lame.

Anyways..
