Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Deadpool (2016) - Deadpool Collectible Figure
Wolverine figures are about Jackman, nothing more.
Comparing a figure of obscure character from R-rated winter anti-hero film with no actor's likeness to Hugh Wolverine is senseless.
This figure should be $220 top.
Based on what? Because that's what you want? And you think hot toys adds that much price to a figure Becuase it's Jackman?
Your argument makes no sense. If Jackman is more popular and deadpool is some minor figure then the price should be higher for deadpool. Especially given the added accesories. More popular does not mean more expensive. It means higher production runs. A less established figure/character has lower production...meaning higher cost per figure.
I compared deadpool and wolverine because they have 2/3 of the same involved companies. Where Thor, cap, vision, stark only have 1/3. Batman, terminator, aliens only have 0/3. (Fox and marvel) they have relatively the same current collector interest.
The r rating would matter if we where talking about toys designed and geared for children, but given these are adult collectibles that rating has next to no effect on potential sales. And deadpool has had more prime time advertising and hype then any wolverine film (or xmen) did. He's on the nba tnt promos. And half a dozen other skits.
And your talking about what it "should" cost based on your own likes and interests. Which has zero actual impact on what it will cost. I was talking about what it may cost, based on the market trends and comparable product offerings. Not what I want. Not what I would charge. Not what I would pay. Not what I feel about Jackman or Reynolds or wolverine or deadpool.
