Great choice adding the customizable eyes. Would love to display him with the upcoming HT Stan Lee for infinite goofy.
The interchangeable eye pieces are cool but I feel like there's not a lot of variety between them despite it coming with quite a few. Nevertheless it's a cool idea and a great looking figure. Most likely will be pre-ordering this!!

It's still supposed to be a real person...I'm not sure how much different they could be.

Looks great but my need for the character is going to be determined by how much I enjoy the movie.

Ever since I saw the test footage I knew this was gonna be the deadpool movie I always wanted, and every trailer released just further confirms that this is gonna be the perfect storm of 1.perfect actor that genuinely loves and gets the character 2.perfect real world adapted comic suit(mind blowingly perfect) 3.and finally the fact that they said screw the mass market appeal, we are going hard R and doing this right for the fans. This is the least I've ever had to think about getting a figure, I honestly couldn't stop myself if I wanted to, but I'm a huge fan of the character if you can't tell :lol I waited till I saw TFA before I decided on getting any figures to see if I liked the characters or not, but Ryan Reynolds deadpool had me sold long ago.

I second every word you said! This was / is a no brainer purchase. In fact even if the movie is average I don't mind owning the figure. It's pretty good - very good!

The eyes use shared tooling though, so the cost is less for each subsequent set. Not to say the chicken or radio is overly expensive but it costs more then most people think for an industrial tooling setup. The chicken if a new sculpt would cost more then the eyes. Just as an example.

Anyway...there's only so much they can do. No matter what they do people are still going to want that "one more thing. If they did the chicken and radio, then someone wants the crayons. Or the chimichanga. Or this or that. Only so much you can include at the price point.

Tooling info-spoiler used in case u don't care
- (Despite popular belief shared tooling can be used even when both parts are not identical. Tooling is a multi piece set and has inserts, and outer casings that hold the "mold" and attatches to the machine, and the rear or front pieces of the mold cavity can be different but the rest of the tooling the same...meaning they can make multiple variations for less money)

It seems like people have it in their minds that he should have over the top eyes similar to the comics.
Nah I just think the ones they included aren't really that different. There's basically regular and slightly squinting and variations of each and they seem a bit redundant. A winking eye or something would have been good.

I think a wink eye or so would have been great! (Assuming he would wink at some point in time) And also the radio set :( in fact instead of so many almost similar eye sets they could do may be 2 see if eye changes and instead throw in a chicken and or a radio!

I think that would be cool too, but like motux said, there is a real person in there. The suit is so good at bridging the gap between real/comic that people want to see the facial expressions from the comics but that wouldn't work on a real suit like this and it looks to me that hot toys stuck with the slight expressions that they were able to pull off with the real suit. That being said a couple comic inspired extreme versions would have been awesome, but I'm happy with what we're getting, honestly I'm thrilled/surprised we are getting swappable eyes at all :rock
