I never really gave too much thought about Deadpool before. I thought he was an interesting character but never really read any of his stuff. Now I'm playing the PS3 game, reading the comics, and drooling over the figure.

I was always aware of him but hadn't collected comics in a few years. That game cemented the crazy fun of the character for me and I loved it. I even met Liefeld just before all of this blew up. Nice guy. I of course had to get a Deadpool print from him before leaving.

Thanks so much! We costume together with our kids for various children's charities and we game together too, our kids brag on us to their friends. It's an interesting life! We actually met while gaming 14 years ago, our entire gaming Guild came to our wedding, it was amazing and we have a blast together. Unfortunately due to sudden emergency heart issues, we had to sell off her Loki and Coulson and started a gofundme campaign to deal with medical procedure and medication bills that aren't covered and any money I make on my reviews goes to help her have a better life.

I'm honestly loving the pictures the more I see them. The high res ones let me zoom in really close on my MacBook, and the details to this suit, prototype or not, looks outstanding. I think using this new body for Black Panther will work out, but Cap is a much bulkier person, I feel. No?

Costuming, gaming and collecting That's really cool I think that's a really great thing that the guild came too and I'm very sorry you had issues and had to sell some stuff but it seems you are handling it very well. Nice Those are going for some crazy prices on eBay, I had my copy cgc'd a few years ago and was tempted to sell it with these prices but I can't get myself to let it go

Privet fluctuate all the time, the acquaintance seems to think within a couple years you'll be able to snag NM98 for $150 tops. I'd sooner just hold on to it. Especially of the character means something to you.

Never read a Deadpool comic but I liked his appearances in a few of the Marvel videogames and think the general look of the character is pretty good.

In the absence of any other movie X-Men I think I'll probably put him next to my Wolverine when he arrives.

Ya I plan on it, he's one of my favorite characters and like I said I couldn't get myself to let it go even at those crazy prices. I have a pretty good sized collection and I have swapped things out over the years quite a bit but certain things will never leave my collection if I can help it and nm98 is one of them.

I've always loved DP since he first appeared. I got New Mutants 98 when it came out and it's mint in a high quality, durable bag with card and in a safe in storage. I'm going to check the prices after the film hits, see how high they go and if it's worth it, I may think about to selling it. I never thought in a million years we'd see this film and figure, especially like THIS and especially after the last time DP was on screen they really destroyed the character. I have faith this film is going to be HUGE. Given they let it be what it needs to be in terms of ratings, costume and content, I don't see this failing. Even if somehow it's a crap film, so many people are going to rush to the theatre to see this that it'll do great right out the gate, they'll make a ton of money on it and it'll be a financial success regardless.

Ya they really ruined deadpool in wolverine origins. This new one will more then make up for that tho and sorry to hear about your wife's medical issues BH she really seams like a great lady, I hope everything works out for you guys.

Thanks so much, xeno! She's really amazing. Everyone says that about their wives, but she's one of a kind and has been through a lot in her life, so the few joys we have mean a lot. She's really excited about Thanos coming! We got the email yesterday that it's shipping on or around the 12th, which will give us more points! They'll probably put out another Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet in a few years, but I don't see them making major improvements on it. It's a pretty basic figure other than needing some accessories. What would be cool would be all the stones in their original forms AND the gauntlet with the stones in it. What would make things even better is if Deadpool gets into Infinity War 1 & 2. I could see Marvel trying to make a deal with Fox like they did with Sony for Spidey to get Deadpool into the Infinity War films, especially if the movie does as well as I'm figuring. Imagine Deadpool in those 2 films....I think that's the only thing that could make them BETTER than we're thinking they'll be.

I think marvel would get Wolverine or the X-men log before deadpool. I think the R rating would hurt his chances even more.

Talk about a good week for Deadpool for me. First this comes out and then I find out an acquaintance's comic shop has a near mint copy of New Mutants 98 that I should hopefully be able to talk him down on.

I actually have a similar situation. The guy who owns a local comic/toy/gaming shop acquired a few copies of New Mutants #98 and is having them professionally graded (I think he said it should be an 8 or 9). Not sure if I'll go for it as I know he'll want a good chunk of cash for it but it could be cool to own.

Just got back from seeing The Revenant and it was funny that the majority of the audience was older, and the first trailer before the movie was Deadpool. You could tell they didn't quite know what to think.

I'm definitely posing the figure in the pistol crotch chop pose.

My guy actually went on a rant about the CGC and who crowned them grading kings when the topic of grading the issue came up. Plus they're kinda useless. Some people have gotten their comic graded only to not be happy with it so they tore it out of the case, sent it in and tried to get a better grading (and sometimes did).

Yeah, I'm 46 and I can't wait to see not only Deadpool in action but Colossus too! He's one of my favorite X-men!
