Not all models - it can, but it's almost insignificant and typically in more expensive units. High levels of blue light can cause some eye damage, though. That being said a blacklight does not equal purple light and vice versa. Purple LEDs don't trigger glow properties like a true black light.LEDs emit a miniscule amount of UV light, and HT has historically used LED lighting in their figures. This looks like just a purple (so-called blacklight) LED
Potentially, maybe, yes - if it's a true blacklight LED that puts out a full UV spectrum. I'm inclined to think they are playing with other fluorescent properties though. It's cheaper.So are the lights harmful?
Want to pick this guy up! Missed the Civil War, and agree about the mask not looking as good. This suit has grown on me however, and being his solo film entry makes in more appealing. Doubt I will use the glow feature much, but nice touch if it works well on final product. Picking him up though may depend on if they stick to the release window.
