Why, so you can easily cancel just before it arrives ???

It's a steep NRD and I wouldn't want to pay for it now either. BBTS gives us the luxury, to a fault, of being able to see releases in HK almost 2 months before you'd get it from them. So if it looks like **** out of HK you have the option.

Cool figure, but glad I don't want this. The price is a bit much for what you get.

I just ordered. First HT order for 2018. Have 3 more to go this year...Blond Widow, Ant-Man & Wasp...hoping for no surprises...

My personal record was 5 HT PO in a year...(Yes, I am a small time collector!)

im sold on this i think but...

the official HT vid of the illuminating parts under black light on their youtube is impressive but when i see vids by those seeing it on display at secret base its kinda crap to be honest, just look all purple under the stand lights rather than successfully illuminating the specific areas brighter than rest of figure. anyone else think that it may not work as well as advertised unless under the exact right conditions?

Yeah, it is hard to know what it will look like in real life; pictures can make it look better or worse than it really will be in hand. BUT, like you I am sold anyway. The "lighting" effect is just gravy to me; I would have gotten this figure without it. I passed on the CW version waiting for this one and I am glad I did with or without the black light effect. I hope it's cool in real life, but I don't feel the need to bank on that for as the reason I would buy. I actually wish some of the shots at secret base would be without the effect so we can see better what it looks like with the LED lights off beyond just the official pics on the SSC ordering page.

The UV effect actually looks pretty good in real life, the markings on the suit is really detailed. But it is very hard to take good pictures of the display due to low-light environment.

If someone had told me beforehand about an option where there were no lenses over the eyes I would have thought I would hate it. But I am actually digging this look and it reminds me of one of Jack Kirby's earlier versions of Black Panther.

Exactly. Why you think NRD is such a problem for those kinds? They force these companies to use NRD then complain about it.
I have a better idea. Just ban those who order and cancel repeatedly. Just track the amount of cancellations then close their accounts.

I’m pretty happy with what I have seen. This is everything I was hoping for when I passed over the CW figure. I have preordered and am waiting impatiently to see the movie and get my figure early next year hopefully.

I agree. When I saw the first trailer with the eyes visible I didn't like it. Just thought it looked like a relic compared to the mean and menacing civil war helmet. But this figure really rocks that look.

It’s always funny to see all the HTs as ‘sold out’ during preorder at bbts. Then as it draws closer a massive amount of them are cancelled and the stock shoots up. Happens every damn time, except a few rare releases such as Arkham joker. I can see why they’re implementing the NRDs lately.

Your idea of how to handle it is good, though maybe instead of banning just disable preordering for them.

As for the fig itself I didn’t like it compared to the CW look like many, but I can see what they were going for with more of an African tribal mask look and that bit has grown on me. Still not a fan of sculpted abs tho. And hopefully you don’t need to flood it with light to get the ‘sigils’ to show, that would be a dealbreaker
