Yeah I think it’s more about what the character uses or has in the film. Plus the DX title is more marketing then anything. There was one tony stark figure, the workshop one I think, that wasn’t a DX but came with like 800 things. Lol Thor has swap out arms so that probably could have been a DX. I don’t think it really indicates which characters have the most screen time or die or anything. This is just the fifth cap with essentially that exact same outfit (minor changes aside) so to keep people from just buyin the head second hand they had to find a way to bring in a few of those people to buy. Making it a DX will do that.

Btw, I just realised why the Yondu and Star-Lord DX versions have "Remix" instead of DX. It's because GOTG vol. 2 is called "Guardians of the Galaxy: Remix" in Japan. So this remix has nothing to do with whether or not the figure is DX. All the other DX figures like Spider-Man Homecoming or Thor don't have DX with the name they just state "bonus accessoires". All the regular releases (the normal ones and the deluxe versions with extra items) have a price tag of ¥32,000 or ¥28,000 while the Jack Sparrow DX for example is priced at ¥35,000. This Cap here is announced at ¥32,000 so even the price isn't a dead give away.

So yeah ... that makes me think this is just gonna be a regular release but there will be a deluxe version with extra items. Or it's gonna be DX but I just won't get my hopes up for PERS. It's better to just wait for the official promo pics and info than to speculate.

I don't need to go anywhere. It was announced as a DX, as in when HT announced the license, it was announcing DX figures, so you don't have to have pics at the ready to prove another board member wrong when they were right, before you start trying to own the board again.

I never understood why they did not make that Stark figure a DX. Just needed the foam and fancy box.

Yeah that thing should have been a DX. Could be they wanted to keep the DX out of marvel for a while since it sold without it. Hard to know.

I’m guessing you must be referring to someone else’s post. But just in case, I simply said I doubt that there will be any more. Not speculation, educated guess. There’s not many more than a dozen DX figures, the odds of getting two from one Avengers movie (at least in the short term) are unlikely based on history – no previous Avengers DX releases, and so few figures are released as a DX.

I’m sure that was addressed to me. But if a maybe would have changed it I would ask you to look at what it was in response to, initially. A direct question, that asks what people think. Not sure how a direct response, without maybe changes that. It was just a response to a question.

If he's indeed a DX, why not? Just coz it's not called PERS anymore doesn't mean HT isn't still doing movable eyeballs. If they don't do that but only extra stuff, why make a DX and not just a Deluxe version like with Spidey and Star-Lord?

As someone who loves to take pics of their figures, I want PERS coz it gives me so much more options. If I could make a wish, I'd want two head sculpts, one of them with PERS (like the DX11 Joker).

It doesn't refer to a normal version at all. ^^ I can read that japanese and it just says "DX版" which means "DX version". Japanese is rarely really clear. Given the HT Japan page and how the figures are advertised and described there, the MMS figures are never connected with "DX", they only ever say "bonus accessories". I'm not saying that it can't be a regular MMS Deluxe version, just that from the information we have right now, both is possible.

So I've checked the other pic and there's a bit more text which clears this up I guess.

The resolution isn't too good so some characters are hard to make out but I think it says:
店頭予約アイテム (shop counter preorder item)
特製dx台座 (special DX base)
特殊武器 (unique weapon)

So just the regular deluxw edition with additional items and a special base according to that.
