It's not just the face, it's also the neck. He has the neck of a 20 year old. Normally this isn't an issue but when it comes to aging, the neck really does matter. Geez, I think the last time I complained about a sculpts' neck was the DX10 Terminator almost 10 years ago lol.

With the MMS617, they’ve added a few wrinkles to the neck.

Interesting to see if Hot Toys takes this criticism and at least gives us a hat-less head sculpt for the BTTF Part III Doc that we can use on this figure.

They’ve definitely made far worse head sculpts.

What’s worse than this? This should be referenced every time a new sculpt comes out that people aren’t happy with…..

The most ludicrous thing about this figure is still that it doesn’t come with Einstein yet does come with Einstein’s watch and there’s no way for someone who already owned the original Marty to get an Einstein . The second most ludicrous thing is that Neca was able to produce a better head for 30 bucks.

If they were forward thinking they should have included the Einstein’s watch with Einstein, would have made that set a tiny bit more worthwhile.

Eehhhh…..damn, that headsculpt really doesn’t work does it? I convinced myself that it would be ok when I pre-ordered. I was kinda excited to think I’d have a Doc for my Marty, but I’m really considering cancelling my PO with PC now after the final product reveal. That’s about it for collecting HT now, unless they come up with something awesome (ha) for ROTJ 40th. It’s Exo-6, Asmus and a couple of 3rd party releases from here on. Oh well.
