I won't be getting Doof -- which kills me, but I simply have no room for that character.

People Eater I would get. Master-Blaster definitely. And Dementus. Maybe even Dr. Dealgood, Rictus, Ironbar, Octoboss and Mr. Norton. I might even get Doof if he wasn't always hooked to that huge rig as part of his character. He'd look out of place with his guitar just standing in the background on a detolf. He needs to be hanging in the air.

My logic was that there was no perfect option for the character in 1/6.

The speaker diorama didn't make sense to me, because without being mounted on a truck they made him look like he was on stage at a concert. That would be a lot of wasted space for something that didn't do what it was supposed to.

On the other hand he had to be on foot at some point, so just to have the character I went for the basic option.

The downside is that the unmasked head only came with the full set. (One of Hot Toys' Star Wars flamethrower effects will likely fit the guitar).

I forgot about the fullset unmasked option too. That frustrated me -- I like that unmasked head.

The speaker array is just so insanely massive. It would look amazing on top of a detolf with Doof hanging over the side is some crazy flight pose with the flames squirting out.

Still, I'm saving room for some of the possible other characters I mentioned. I'd really like a Master-Blaster to have some Thunderdome love for Max. But then... do I want to give Thunderdome a full shelf?

Right now, I've got a Mel Max with Wez and Humungus... and a Charlize Furiosa with Immortan Joe and soon Dementus. I think that bookends the Max world pretty good right there.

Does he look any different than the slimmer toy version we got from Present Toys? For me, the PT figure actually suits 'Furiosa' Joe better anyway.

The eyes and forehead look younger. Smoother skin, and his eyes are larger, more expressive and intense. The original looks great, but older, more tired eyes.

Look how young and different he looks. I like both versions, but I like how competent and cool he was in Furiosa. Even his voice sounded cooler, IMO.

Look at him...no wonder he has so many happy wives :chase

Well, I know he looked different (younger) in the movie... what I meant was, the Present Toys figure wouldn't change much if at all. I'm not sure the sculpt reads old or young that dramatically.

On the shelf the figures would look virtually identical. Less change than Vader between ESB and ROTJ.

The sculpt isn't too Anya to my untrained collector/lovestruck brain but after seeing the film and getting a taste of the Max juice in me I do want to pick her up and probably Joe in the future.
