I was surprised at the price, almost $100 less than the Feral Predator!

The paint app on the proto they showed at the conventions was way better.
All black just seems kinda lazy.... no highlights or anything. That slight air brushed brown really made it pop.
Oh well.. still ordering it anyways but not as excited as before.

Maybe HT should have went with a black/ dark purple blend like the one from the xeno from the first (yet short run) version one Samurai Pred?

However just doing that will make it a pain the arse for collectors that wants it but knowing HT, they just want to screw everyone else up and make it a very limited edition release and make every one go bat**** crazy.

There it is...no swap out jaws, no mention of "silicone" so we can all expect a good ole rubber jaw. Anyways it looks a ton better than their pics.

Not at all, this alien has some influence but the design is very different overall. HT needs to do a 2.0 Big Chap!

The jaw is a mystery. It looks so much like a swap out piece, yet if so HT would have that piece available to display as an accessory, and would also have listed it in the specs.

From the construction it doesn't look possible that it could articulate. The translucent strands may be silicone, but the ones to the rear look like rigid plastic that would prevent a hinge from operating.

It is absolutely worth getting and will be a sell out. A 2.0 Big Chap is a no brainer but Hot Toys might not do it since they hate taking "risks" and prefer generic Marvel/Starwars etc. Here's to hope they actually revisit more characters from the franchise. Let's keep showing our support!

Fair enough, that it does. Seeing that animatronic has me excited to see the film again when it arrives on 4k disc next week.

I'm also really confused about this, could it be that they just forgot to put that accessory in the display at Secret Base?
Maybe them talking about the inner jaw/tongue is them covering that it is interchangeable?
I'm just hoping at this point...

Hopefully they will clarify what is going on here, regardless I will be pre-ordering this as I'm missing a Xenomorph in my collection and this looks like an amazing release.
I will still also pick up a Big Chap if they ever release a 2.0

According to Man of Hot Collectibles Hot Toys are waiting to see how the market reacts to the Scorched Xenomorph "...because they have plans of making two more characters within this line."

Better photos of this are posted taken from Secret Base. Its much better, it has the brown highlights from the one displayed at the exhibitions. They really should replace whoever shot the official photos.
