Not trying to rain on people’s parades here, just observation based off source material.

Realistically, only the eyes have the potential to be revised.

Still stoked to have this.
Personally I think that's all they should do, there's been times when revising a sculpt has produced better results and other times when it has not. This already looks pretty good, it just needs the correct blue eyes to bring it up on the likeness scale imo, I'd hate to see them remake this sculpt only for it to turn out not as good as it does now.

Most of the time when they improve things, it’s better imo.

I think the scowl expression is too harsh.

I'm not done making base comparisons. I think the way they presented it at Tokyo Comic Con really captures this scene in the film, with the Xeno head on its side. This is how I'll be displaying mine.

I think whoever put that display together should be involved with the promotional photo shoots. They clearly have an eye for these things. One glance and I can tell right away; that's a Xenomorph.

With the shots we got today I'm not making that connection right away. Heck, at first I was afraid they'd changed it and the head wasn't even there anymore.

Lastly, a shout-out to the (earliest as far as I know) origin of the main base: Bane 1.0 from The Dark Knight Rises.

As with a lot of HT female sculpts, I never see the likeness instantly. They never perfected Gal Gadot or Sigourney Weaver, they got close with Scarlett, but, the only ones where the hit was instant was Margo Robbie.

I sort of see the actress in the sculpt, but, with me, if it's not instant, I don't bite. I'm hoping Trevor gets to work his magic on the inevitable NECA version.

I think it's one of their strongest female sculpts to date, it just needs the correct eye color.

And as good as Trevor's work may be, it will sadly be ruined by Neca's poor casting and even poorer paint applications. It's been the case with pretty much everything he's done for them.

To quote the neca guys I also cant stand dealing with neca when they release a figure. They partial release it out to some, give updates until time frame passes and then nothing. Im waiting on the scorched neca alien from them and this will be the last order I place with neca

Yeah I'm going to stick with my initial thinking on this one. Didn't like the film enough to justify getting multiple characters, the Xeno is enough.
I liked Rain (and Andy) more than any of the other non characters (whose names I still don't remember) but not quite enough to get this.
It doesn't help that its not a very exciting looking figure.
I'm very pleased HT are making it though. Any figures that aren't superheros or Star Wars are most welcome and there are some Romulus fans that really want this. It's nice to see happy collectors.
