I wonder if Man of Hot Air will get Rain and does a review on his copy (either it’s up to his standards or be a total dumpster fire).

I was thinking this morning, after hearing the opinions of multiple Youtubers, that Rain wouldn't be selling very well.

I said that **** about Andy and Rook during the week and he pinched it. He's either a member or lurks here.

Not sure who this "Man of Hot Air" person is (good one @Asta ) but I sincerely doubt he's getting inside info from factories or even someone working at Hot Toys. I'll play devil's advocate and say he could be receiving information from a retailer but most of his information doesn't seem to be based upon anything factual.

I've had the privilege of knowing about some products Hot Toys was working on before they were announced and never shared them because they might not even see the light of day.

Mysterio's suit being prepared for the prototype, from ages ago.

King Shark was one I knew about and was surprised to see announced. You never really know what will end up making it to pre-order and will end up in Howard's personal collection. Even with factory contacts, a lot of us don't know what Hot Toys is working on or what they'll announce next so I doubt this guy knows more than people in the business.

If I had to guess, the biggest reason why Rain made it to pre-orders is because they want to get more out of the body they designed for X-23, so who even knows if an Offspring will see the light of day? I mean Hot Toys could swing it but I'd expect that one to end up in "Figures that were never put on PO" alongside the likes of the Prometheus figures, and several other things they showed off like Modok.

Yeah, it’s clearly the same body, but imo, too big for Rain. I’ll take it, but should’ve been a new body.

I have been wanting Rain to go up for PO, but I’ll still criticize it. Ideally, I’d want it to better.
