This is getting more difficult now with Hot Toys' rolling eyes, because they use a clear plastic socket on top of the ball joint, that plugs into a matching shape inside the sculpt.

With older sculpts you could put tack on top of the rubber cup covering the ball joint to keep it set higher.

You could do the same with the new style, but it would likely be less secure.

(I find the new system fiddly, as the two parts don't always want to connect, and it can end up moving the eye stalks so you have to start over adjusting the eyes).


One reason why the head may be sitting lower is that the ball joint (the barbell piece) may not be vertical, which wasn't an issue when there was less empty space inside the sculpts.

It works with blu tack. I put together a custom post ROTS Kenobi using the CW head and it sits okay and securely on the ball joint of a DAM body I’m using. So don’t panic. There are options.

Scorched looks huge. Very happy I ordered both.

I still prefer her looking to the left (her right), works better with the hair.

Speaking of her hair, I wonder if it's a mistake or a deliberate alteration to have her left ear completely exposed now. That little bit of hair going over her ear has been there on every single image we've seen up until now.

Interesting...

If you look at the close up snaps that @vwadamv posted on Sideshow's Show Case, there is zero strands of loose hair on the right side of her face while the Secret Base does. It looks like the strands of hair has been broken off during shipping or taking it out for filming.

I wonder how HT will address this issue before it gets shipped out next year when it get officially released?
