I thought it was cool that they didn't speak basic too. Makes them that much more special. Nice touch. I don't know if they lit up or not. I thought they did during the cave search too, but maybe they didn't?

They are speaking basic, just muffled like bad walkie talkies. Or the grunts from Half Life.

They did not light up in the cave either, I guess it'll cause lense flare while filming? J*ahem*J Abrams style.

Atleast the posts I've seen indicate that the light up features are easy to turn on/off. Maybe that Vader taught HT a lesson.

I have the Death Trooper and the arms are an improvement over the FO Stormtrooper for sure. Its softer and not as thick. I hope if they do rubber for whatever new FO troopers they do for EP VIII are made with that type of rubber. The hips are still quite limited though.

That's really good to know. Puts my mind at ease.

Quick question, is the pauldron & vest removable if I want to display it as a normal Deathtrooper?

One of the members here posted pics of his Death Trooper with chest rig and pauldron removed. It might be in the other Death Trooper thread but I think it's possible to do.

I should also add though, the shoulders are stiff when raising the arms forward. I'm not quite sure why that is, but I just try to work around it when posing. Overall still a great looking figure. I'm tempted to get the regular one as well, but probably won't due to budget.

I don't get it, either. Perhaps its to milk the sales of the other two options before this one. HT may figure that people will get impatient and order at least one of the other two versions and then get this one.

As I mentioned in the other DT thread, this is the one I'll be getting. But if they release a Krennic, I'll definitely pick up the plain one to flank the director...

Want a DT but not all 3. Any chance this one also comes with a regular base in line with the rest of the RO line? Don't really like the dioramas (Chirrut Deluxe either)

Yep, I'm in for both deluxe Death Trooper and Jyn too. Have also been wondering if they release Krennic if the deluxe DT will look OK next to him or not. I guess cross that bridge when it comes.

Could integrate the DT base into some black stones for a cool looking diorama with Krennic walking over field to Erso.

Sorry for asking something that has probably been discussed to death before, but...

The regular Trooper has all three guns (blaster, Death Trooper Blaster and DLT-19 long range blaster), but no pouches or pauldrons.
The specialist Trooper has two guns (blaster and Death Trooper Blaster), pouches and pauldron.
And the deluxe specialist Trooper has two guns (blaster and DLT-19 long range blaster), pouches, pauldron, doll and special stand.

Is that it?
