1/6 Hot Toys - TMS 078 - The Book of Boba Fett: Boba Fett

Maybe this will get released a bit earlier than end of last year since no headsculpt. Hell at this point with how many Bobas they’re making they can just knock out the armor and helmets, and weapons all at once. Should be an overall easy figure for them to make.
Will wait to cancel the throne one until it releases but this one looks to be the winner.

Except this Boba is almost entirely new. His hand held weapons are the only parts that are the same as the 2 Fetts preceding. Everything else, new molds, new tailoring.

Honestly surprised they didn’t get away with just reusing the existing helmet, sometimes they are just that lazy.

This Fett figure is a beauty. I really wanted to see the Bane figure but Fett is the one that stood out, to me at least. The colors are outstanding.

This figure is proof that while the creatives (and I use that term loosely) may have failed the character with the insipid show, the artists and designers knocked it out of the park. The figure looks great.

I think I preferred the helmet with the little flare at the bottom and the more pointed chin, but this is still lovely.

My favorite moment in the show is the small character moment Boba and Din have in the bombed out Sanctuary where they talk about honor and the Creed.

Both are honorable in their own different ways and I liked that it built on the mutual respect and friendship that developed towards the end of The Mandalorian Season 2.

I wanted the TBOBF Fett in 1:6 to be able to recreate that moment, as well as the very short but amazing action sequence where they both fly in with their jetpacks. I really wish there had been more of that in the show.

It goes by quickly but I also really appreciated that Boba checks on his friend and pulls him up while still blasting the Pykes.

I’m tempted to get a second Season 2 Din Djarin figure to display them together like this. And not having a head sculpt won’t be an issue for these scenes.

Jetpack action will never not look goofy in live action. Change my mind.
