Great picture and pose!

I think there's a problem with padding this suit out, where that because it's all one piece if you stick stuffing or padding in, even if you put them in the chest as separate pecs, it'll just stick the whole chest out in the same vain as a Captain America Rob Liefield drawing - don't want to sound an *** but that's what yours sort of looks like, Libby, with the chest padding. But if it looks better to you more power to you, if I get this I think I'd leave it padding free,

You can always lessen the amount of padding......

Is it me or anyone don't like the boot? May be it can pose in a great extent, but I really don't like the separate design.

So what boots did you replace them with?

I understanding what you are saying about the boot, I don't think you can articulate the ankle much without nullifying the illusion that it is all one boot and not in 2 pieces. With that said, the boot you are using now doesn't look to provide for much, if any, ankle articulation so the choice seems to be between don't articulate the ankle much with the 2 part boots or can't really articulate the ankle much with your replacement boots. Either way, largely the same result. The seam in the stock boots looks pretty hidden in pics, maybe it is way more obvious in person, but leaving the boots as is and not over bending the ankle seems to give a very similar result to getting one piece boots that can't bend.

Nice pose by the way, I like the way you put both halves of the billy club in one hand.

no worries Gary totally agree mate :duff

mugfei pictures look excellent and if he was to be a stand alone figure id be more than happy with his stock look ,but for me ,now and since i bought megos way back when ,the aim and the fun was to mix and match my preferred heroes ,Kirk and fonzi stood with starsky Kojak ,superman and batman all together in one display

,my focus is still the same and hot toys realism makes my dream of a mini madame Tussaud a reality :lol
what i was aiming for was to widen the shoulders so as to help the head to shoulder ratio ,but in doing that you have to increase the latts and the pecs to balance it out , so he blends in with the rest of my figures

as always im happy to acknowledge your mileage and focus may vary :)

here he is in his altered form with the rest of my guys ,

debatable as to how successful or unsuccessful i was :lol cant do much with the lower body proportions with out taking him apart i fear ,and thats well above my skill set:lol

but he fits my purpose better now and im happy to have him on board :)

this is where i stuffed it

this is how i stuffed it in

aw yeah.

That's gotta limit the articulation, though? I guess depending on the pose you want, that might not matter, and like you said, the stuffing is removable.
With angular figure outfits like this one, business suits, or Toys-Era X2 Cyclops I started using index cards. Easy to fold into the desired thickness and shape. Slides in easily (aw yeah). And it keeps a sharp silhouette, avoiding a puffy inflated look. I'll probably try that with DD here.

and this is how i lenghtened the neck post

Is that sticky tack? wouldn't that get ... sticky?
(aw yeah)

here he is in his altered form with the rest of my guys

That looks great to me. Is he taller than Logan now? Can I see a full body shot of those?

I was in the same position as you a couple of years ago when I bought my first sixth scale figure. Now I have 14 figures (and others on pre order), so while I am by no means an expert, I've learned a lot from asking the same sorts of questions you're asking.

So I'll give you the rundown. A case is definitely a good idea because it will drastically reduce the amount of dust on your figure. Most cases will not completely eliminate dust, but a figure displayed in the open will need to be dusted very regularly.

Detolfs are a great choice if you have more than one item to display. Legends Studios also makes standalone cases with built in lighting designed to house single figures. These cases are great if you have a shelf or something to display them on, or if you don't have enough pieces to justify a detolf.

Regardless of how you display the figure, you will need to deal with dust from time to time. Gentle use of a (very) soft make-up brush is great for removing dust from a figure, particularly in small areas like the joints and face sculpt. A microfiber cloth is good as well, particularly for hard plastic. A miniature lint roller can remove dust from a figure's clothing. You can buy all of these things at your local Walmart, and Sideshow actually sells a cheap cleaning kit with exactly these items.

Keep your figure out of sunlight, as it will fade the paint and degrade the plastic. As your figure ages, you may find that the glue used to attach certain pieces or clothing may eventually fail. You can fix this easily with your own super glue, as long as you're very careful.

When posing the figure, make sure the parts aren't rubbing or scraping as this can cause paint rub. For example, when you turn the figure's head make sure it's positioned in such a way that the jaw doesn't rub against the neck during turning.

Finally, always read the figure's instructions from front to back. Hot Toys includes specific guidance for each figure that will help you avoid accidental damage.

Hope that's helpful.

Thank you for the thorough response, Saint!

I'll take a look at Legends Studios and I've been doing some research on Amazon as well. I've had my Mezco figures in a display case for a little more than a year now, and that specific case has luckily allowed no dust in at all (picked it up from a local Michael's). If I recall correctly, they had some affordable display cases for large scale items, too. I've also been looking at reviews to figure out the dimensions of displaying it with the awesome diorama included with this Daredevil.

Appreciated your general tips for usage of Hot Toys figures. I see some reviews and some people are downright careless with these things!

Always nice to hear from a more experienced collector.

Cheers :wave

Thanks guys for watching my review and checking out my pictures and thanks also for your kind words of support :O)

Hey Clip,
I personally hope you continue to do reviews. I don't care if you're the first to review them or not, I like your honest take on figures. I've bought several figures because of your reviews and I'm always anticipating the next. I totally understand what you go through to review these and why you're loosing interest in them all together. I'm almost there myself as I've collected enough of them and starting to get priced out of the market. Blitzway Ghostbusters 4 pac may be my last for a long long time if not for good. I'll still watch reviews and post here and there. Again, hopefully you continue, but if you quit for good, thank you for your excellence and honesty. Take care!

Really excited for this figure to arrive but the only hang-up I have about it is I'm not a huge fan of this new boot style. I really don't like when I can see "seams" anywhere.. pretty picky about that!

I see a few people in this thread (in my very quick glancing) who have replaced the boots with another pair. Sure it limits articulation but least there's no seam in the boots that way. Which boots were used for this swap? Any insight?

SS Chat yesterday said they expected it to arrive around the 20th of September to their warehouse and expect it to ship. So that is a fairly logical conclusion, yes?

ehh lets not forget the Doctor Strange debacle that just happened..... :wink1:

Oh that has happened before. I forget the item but it happened to me- I think it was around the time where the dock was having issues. It arrived at the dock, they expected it in and wanted to try to streamline the process for the customer.

Not excusing it, but that is my theory.

Thats what happened as well. It was an issue with the shipper but everyone here threw a fit at SS like they didnt get their bottle or something.

Things happen- it isn't like SS sat around and said "You know what would be rich? These nerds that spend thousands of bucks on dollies needs to be royally screwed with bad so lets intentionally throw a wrench into the shipping process!!!!"
