Here's a pic of my figure with Tony's cape (and lowered belt mod). :) I agree that this figure has PRESENCE, and growing up on Conroy Batman, it might be my favorite Batman piece to date.

im planning to get the custom cape as well, is it hard to install ?

I checked the official DC Encyclopedia as well, and they said he's 6' 5". It still probably depends on the comic series you are reading. I'd say DC's official stance is 6' 5" based on their own encyclopedia.

Can you post the link to that site. I'm getting a different page from the DC official site

Now that I'm getting into the Arkham games, this figure is becoming much more appealing to me (And for those of you who told me Kevin Conroy is a badass, you were absolutely correct. The dude totally owns the role and really does bring batman to life in the game!) The only thing holding me back from getting this figure is the comic-book body proportions, which I'm not sure will mesh well the rest of my collection which consists of only realistically proportioned figures.

I know a lot of you have mentioned he towers above all other figures. But other than his height, does he look out of place due to his comic-book, superhero body physique as well? Please say yes so I can have a reason to pass on this figure and save some money for a change :lol

Which games are you playing? And yeah, Conroy IS Batman, everybody else is just renting the suit.

As for his proportions, he does look the part where he could fight off 20 thugs single singlehandedly while doing all the crazy stunts in the game, he needs that muscle mass to pull off the notion that he's always moving, fighting, running and jumping. The look carries over to the HT figure as well, he's significantly bulkier than the Arnold figures and he's really tall.

I'd say get the figure regardless, you're missing out on what might be Hot Toy's most accurate figure to date, and he has amazing shelf presence.

^I'm starting from the beginning with Asylum. Took me a little while to get into it, but I'm getting more and more invested with each and every upgrade :lol The game is pretty damn long too. Granted I've only been playing for almost a week, but I've still got over half way to go, which is perfectly fine by me.

So far, I'm pretty impressed with the voice acting. I'm still having trouble believing that's Mark Hamill providing the Joker's voice! Conroy is also pretty damn amazing as Batman. Someone told me he gets even better in the subsequent Arkham games.

Yeah, I probably should just pick this figure up. But I think I'll actually practice some self-control for once and wait to see how the BvS batman looks first before I make a decision. This guy should still be available by then, and maybe I'll even be able to pick him up at a discount. In the mean time, I'll just keep myself busy catching up with all the Arkham games and Batman TAS :)

Is there a video or something that shows how to lower the belt?

Best I could find.
According to tony you seperate the belt with a flat screwdriver.
Heat the middle seccion
Stretch to desired legnt and put in cold water to seal.
Put again the belt no glue needed but you can put if you want.

Awesome shot Dane! The cape looks great.

Yep, it really makes the movie batman figures look like pansies. :duff

Thanks, fellas! Pansies indeed. :lol

It's not hard, but you do have to break the two shoulder posts that hold the lower part of the cowl to the body. It doesn't matter though, because once the head is attached, it holds the lower part on just fine.

Mine just shipped today from BBTS, really looking forward to getting this, looks great even if it doesn't pose well. Also would you guys say the suit is rubber or more like the PVC vinyl used on hulk?

Definitely more rubber, like the Dark Knight or Appleseed Hot Toys.

PS: you can tighten the joints by adding some clear nail polish around the balls of the ankle or a dab of crazy glue. There are tactics to tighten most exposed joints. EG: if you have a loose head you can do the same thing. I had to do that to my Star Lord

Thanks! I just did the chat with SSC and they told me that Batman should not be expected to stand on his own. Very disappointing to hear that.

Mine arrived today. I can't believe it's been 3 years since HT teased this figure and it's finally here.

Quick impressions are similar to what other people have already said: not very poseable but has incredible presence and is absolutely huge. I love the figure and its instantly one of my favorite pieces.

Only minor problem I have with mine is his arms don't move any closer to his body. Has anyone had a similar problem or know how to adjust the figure without putting any strain on the suit?

Yes, one or both shoulders are inverted. Pop off the hand and gauntlet and slowly rotate the shoulder and arm in the opposite direction within the rubber sleeve. Once the shoulder is the proper way, that arm should have more range.

Just got my Arkham city bats & like everyone on this forum says (yet I didn't fully believe until now) - He is a BEAST. He just looks soooo much cooler than just about everything else....and I have a soft spot for my first realistically rendered Conroy Batman. Here they are at the top of the display case looking awesome...sorry for the crappy camera pics in low light.

That's some BS on their part. Loose ankles aren't why stands are supposed to be included.

They gave me the same **** and refused to give me a new set of ankle joints and feet.

I certainly fall in to the Sideshow apologist camp but this was the first time I've been disappointed with their customer service response. I probably have 40-50 purchases through them and have only had two issues and both times they were super easy to work with and I was happy with the result.

It's repetitive but being told that if I don't like something, I can return it when I've spent five figures worth of purchases from SS in the last two years is very disheartening. I pre-ordered Tank this afternoon so I'm not going to pretend that I'm done with Sideshow but this certainly takes a bit of goodwill away.
