Who was it that DID do a Ledger tongue? Was that a custom sculpt long ago?

People keep joking about the tongue like it’s the next big novelty. Nah, man. I’m looking at this rooted hair waiting for the first ever upside down Joker figure. Complete with real metal scaffolding to dangle from.

I do think it’s funny as **** that “not available outside of China” really just translates to “not available from Sideshow or BBTS” in this day and age.

You’ve got to love the global marketplace we have available where a collector can get anything

Licensing issues. They can’t get the global licenses since HT is hoarding those. So their license is regional only.

Didn't have the amount to get the Deluxe rooted. So I went the standard version, as much as I'd love rooted hair version I'll at least be happy with the figure alone. Kit is the man he always comes through so I'm glad I was able to get one from him.

I think kit will probably prove to be the cheapest as shipping is baked into the cost but you can get go wrong with either. Certainly a safer option than that other reseller.

I went with the standard version but if I had another drink at dinner I’d probably be on the hook for the rooted pack as it looks amazing

Holy cow, I just noticed that this thread blew up - I think it was only @20 pages in the last time I checked it last week (Thursday I think?). These look really nice, but I have two HT Ledgers (Bank Robber and DX-11) on my shelf already and, iconic as the character & his portrayal are, I can't see dropping a grand on upgrades - especially without seeing production pieces in-hand. WHO ARE YOU and what have you done with the REAL Wor-Gar, the one who didn't pull the trigger on the one-of-a-kind Iron Scavenger for half this cost?

In the end... Joker wins over Vulture. And there's a bizarre Keaton connection there. I've been reassessing my collection lately, and Vulture, as unique and awesome as it is, just does not fit... besides taking up and enormous amount of space.

But beyond the character, it is also the tech. I was just talking to a friend I've known on the boards since I started here and we were remembering long ago when we were dreaming of jointless hands, real hair, perfect tailoring... and here it is. The only thing its missing is real-feel skin.

And a wiggly tongue for R_R_X.

I wonder if Viper was thinking 3-day window will generate maybe 400-500 orders so 800-1,000 heads to hair... but now he may be panicking at 2,000+ heads to hair!!!

I would imagine the majority of deluxe orders would happen in the first 24 hours.

So this is a silly thing to mention...

I’m kind of in disbelief that the PO process went as smoothly as it did. I don’t know if there are any Macross fans in this thread...but being a fan of Macross and buying figures from them is a nightmare. There’s no 3 day PO window. It’s literally “F5 until you get LUCKY”. And if you didn’t snag one in the first 5 mins, you are SOL.

Needless to say I pretty much gave up trying to PO anything Macross due to how stressful it was.

I was afraid it was gonna be a similar situation with this, but...fortunately it was far from it.
