I was trying to think of a great villain since 2008's Joker... has there been one in 14 years of the MCU, or any movie for that matter? I mean, a really great villain, great performance, up there in Top 10 level? You know, Darth Vader, Hannibal Lector, Ledger Joker, and ...
The only one that remotely comes to mind is Kaiser Soze and he really doesn't do any active Villain-ing.

Just a heads up, but if anyone wants a pool cue to go with this guy, it looks like Sideshow’s Shaun of the Dead figure from years ago came with one.

It looks pretty close to the one Joker snaps in half - it would just need a stripe painted around the bottom - and to be snapped in half.

Anyone know of any more 1/6 scale accessories that could work with this guy? Any existing martini glasses or shrimp?
I’d want one!

I loved watching the conclusion to the Infinity Saga and was immersed enough to see Thanos as a dangerous and compelling threat, but I could never take him seriously on the shelf. Menacing purple muppet LOL ... and I just don't see him on the same level as the true greats. I do think his greatest moment was beating Hulk like a redheaded stepchild.

It's subjective of course. I'm thinking Darth Vader, Hans Gruber, Nicholson Joker, Agent Smith, Ledger Joker...
Vader, Ledger Joker ... they're top tier. I wouldn't put Nicholson Joker in that list. Too much goofing around.
I just think people will think Thanos looks silly in time. Purple smurf I hear alot.
Death Muppet.
Davy Jones is a great villain but I think people feel because he's all squidy that he's silly.
Never saw the film. I saw the first one and it was very Depp and all, then I lost interest.
This is just the result of TV becoming a more popular medium for anything that isn't a giant blockbuster. There have been plenty of iconic villains in the TV sphere in the last decade. The entire cast of Breaking Bad, half the cast of Game of Thrones. Probably Negan, he's in Tekken for some reason lol.
I'll give you Walter White. GoT fell apart somewhere along the way and maybe it was the ensemble nature of the cast and interweaving storylines, no one really stands out anymore.
I think, as morbid as it sounds, Ledger's tragic passing ultimately helped propell his performance to legendary status,
There's definitely some Dead Rockstar Effect happening, but his performance was unbelievable regardless. Which is to say I don't think it needed D.R.E.

Vader was kind of a lame Project Manager in ROTJ but it didn't ruin the character. Even ROTS didn't dethrone him.

hey Bane was awesome,
Simply couldn't take him or the film seriously. Not the first time and not on subsequent viewings.
Was Walter White a villain?
100% ... the most realistic and irredeemable turn to the Dark Side I've ever seen.
Fring... again, like Ben Linus or Cersei Lannister. A pop villain for a flash of time. Love them all, but not quite there.
Agreed.

I think Phoenix Joker is up there with Ledger performance wise.
He's played that character over and over again. He's become a parody of his typecast self.

Phoenix Joker is without question iconic. That sequence of him dancing on the steps alone will forever be played when the Oscars do film montages. It's like a modern Singing in the Rain type moment.
I think that moment is iconic. I loved that moment. But the film feels too contrived and I maintain my contention that he's not The Joker just a psychopathic murderer in clown make-up.

All those spending 1000 on these figures, welcome to the rabbit hole btw. I remember just thinking back in the day I'd collect a couple of Play Arts Kai, then I dropped those for the more realistic Hot Toys. Thought I'd never go into customs as most I were seeing were expensive and not great looking. Then sold a lot of my Hot Toys for customs that looked a lot better but more expensive, but definitely now in the mindset of rather having quality of quantity - but definitely won't get into statues. Now own 3 1/3 JND statues with 2 more on the way, customs and sold most of my Hot Toys. Collection is like a fine barrel of whiskey now. Expensive but worth the curated selection.

Everyone on here will be like this guy (TRIGGER WARNING: HE'S RICH (But not Batman, and owns most of the best collectibles available in the world that a lot of you want characters for)

Lol man, can’t wait till these people who foolishly bought the deluxe from toys wonderland get hit with a 200-300 dollar shipping charge. Been seeing that they are charging up to 200 for the black transcendent due to weight. I got that figure shipped for free. What a bunch of con artists.

Just took a closer look at the alternate sculpted hair sculpt and you can clearly see where the cover for the PERS sits, at least that’s what I think it is. Looks kinda strange like the hair is combed from the back of his head.

This separation pretty much kills this for me. I think they would be better off without it. The pers is not a good trade for it.

What sold me on the non-rooted hair was 1) the cost (and that I already have a rooted 1:4 Joker) 2) how would one access the pers in the rooted hs? (through the neck?) I think at normal viewing the hair separation will not be a huge deal (I guess we will find out on both accounts!)

you'll have the same sculpt separation as the non rooted one.

At least the sculpt for the Standard Edition looks a bit better. But I agree with you, we have to see how it looks in normal „shelf distance“.
