nice job.. but I don't see harrison ford in anyone of the pics at all

The problem with the sculpt is it's extremely, extremely dependent on lighting and angle. It's really hard to explain, but cameras just don't seem to capture it well, if at all. It's also a slightly older Indy sculpt than the Raiders license would lead you to believe, which doesn't help. The basics are there, you just have to do a lot of work to find Ford in it.

Well i live in the netherlands so i guess it is a distance. Let's say if i were to send you a body and sculpt...could you repaint it for me with the sweat and all..yours looks amazing..i also love the one from guyver...it would be a lot of fun for the both of us :rotfl

I need to gey a body and headsculpt though. Would be awesome. I'll pm you when i have both and i'll let you decide.

Best regards,

bbl

I don't plan on selling mine ever, honestly. This is the most work I've ever done on a figure and I'm really, really happy with how he turned out.

I wouldn't be opposed to painting a sculpt up if someone supplied it, hell I probably wouldn't even charge anything but shipping, but I tend to stay away from commissions for the simple fact that painting/customizing is a labor of love and I flat-out refuse to turn it into a job. Tried it once and it sucked all the fun out of it.

I'll consider doing paint ups down the line, but as of this month I can't do anything. My gf and I are moving in together and I've got my plate full with the packing, buying furniture, etc. so I won't commit to any work until I'm sure I can get it done in a reasonable amount of time. I refuse to be one of the flaky customizers we see so much of.

Thank for the honesty..much appreciated. I'm about to get a baby with my gf, so I completely understand..I've been there ;) :panic:

Is one million also acceptable :clap ?

Read to all the post..yours is awesome too..very skillfully done..Got a question..is the $40 Mfisher whip worth the price? I find that HT whip is pretty _____ty.

You can have mine for...one zillion dollars...

The MFisher sets are worth every penny. Beautiful work that takes the HT set to a different level. I'm waiting on my TOD set now to get my second Indy customized. Trust me you wont be disappointed.

I pm'd him for a set. Thinking of buying the whip and maybe the full set. Looks awesome indeed.

Looked at all your indy's...awesome bro..If you ever have nothing to do..I offer THE project for you..customizing my hehehehe :yess:

For real...nice job!

What is the best way to age the HT jacket? Using sandpaper?

Dirtying the shirt and pants..how did you guys do it? I read coffee :p?

Thnx for the tips..is there a specific color i should use?

Could you explain the dirty washes? I kinda get it but not totally :)

Use acrylic paint, it waters down and dries waterproof. For the jacket sandpaper and dirty washes.

Light to medium brown acrylic paint. Get some on your brush, dip it in a glass of water, wipe off the excess so you only have a little paint left on the brush, dip it again, and apply it to the fabric until you achieve the desired effect. Super easy.

Thnx again...and the dirty wash for the jacket? Or is it the same as the shirt and pants method?

Is acrylic paint like paint on a wall? Sorry i'm kinda new at this ;)

You want to use acrylic hobby paint, like Citadel, or other various brands. If you have a Wal-Mart near you, they sell little bottles of acrylic hobby paints for less than a dollar, not always the best stuff to work with, but a great start for a beginner.

Okay, So I decided to go for another one WTH, I'll make a TOD out of the first one , My new Indy arrived today, and I still did some touch up on it, still in the process. I'm going severely light on the beard this time around :slap. But took care of the very little guyliner, used some washes on the cheeks and lightened the beard with some drybrush.

Any art shop will sell little basic sets of acrylic paint. You will see them between the oil paints and the watercolors. What makes them great is they are water soluble but when they dry they don't come off. You could pick a set up off ebay, but an art shop would be easier? You don't need any fancy expensive ones, just the basics, red, black, white, brown, yellow. You can mix practically anything up from those.

Have fun with man!
:hi5:

Looks great, Guyver! For some reason, I think lightening the beard really goes a long way in helping bring out the likeness with this one.
