I'd second the Assassin's Creed option. However, you will need to swap out the lower legs as this body has extended ankles.

It was also used for James Dean and the Goemon figures. The Christian body always intrigued me but I always thought the neck looked too short. If anyone has this body and can put an Indy shirt on it I'd like to see it.

Thank you for the PM, Rogerbee. I may buy that.

Before I do, has anyone ever swapped a Soldier Story chest/shoulders onto a Hot Toys Frame. The colour does not matter as I intend to paint the chest to match the head.

No worries,

The SS swap isn't something I've heard of. From what I can tell from mine I don't think it could be done. However, SS (Soldier Story that is!) are about to start using the 2.5 body which has been uprated and is possibly taller.

I used a Soldier Story body but it was too tall. You'd have to frankenstein the body which is a lot of work to get it to work.

Too tall!?

Really!? Both the S2's I have are shorter than a TT. Harrison is pretty tall. I used to use an S2 for Kiefer Sutherland because it was short.

Huh guess it depends which model it was used for. I got one from Monkey Depot and thought it was too tall. I thought Ford was about 6 foot which is average for 1:6. Anyway, the Ezio body was perfect height wise and build (sloped narrow shoulders and not too big in the chest).

Actually, I found the Ezio was too tall and so I swapped out the lower legs. I'm not using beets so that does make a difference. With beets I suppose the standard Ezio would be ok.

I don't think other bodies are too tall, I just think HT is too short. I was just putting my Patton figure together this weekend and he's about 1/2 inch taller than Indy.

HT body size has only become standard because they are so ubiquitous, not because it's true 1/6 scale. That and their standard Caucasian skintone is so dark, I stay away from HT bodies if I can.

Often, the height of a TT depends on the footwear. Boots over feet make it taller and beets make it shorter. It also can vary according to the type of head used, whether you use a head and neck or a head with a neck.

The DID All Era Action Body used for Patton is already tall, and that height can be varied with footwear and giraffe neck.

This.

I just did an extensive modification of a HT female body to resemble a 6 foot tall actress (secret) with relatively broad shoulders for a woman. I had to actually make it slightly shorter than true 1:6 scale so that she would be the same height (accounting for heels) as the TT Advanced male body (theoretically 12 inch doll = 6 foot tall man).

In the near future I am going to post in the How To section information on painting HT female bodies. I managed to repaint Angelica to a pale skinned woman.

Sounds interesting,

Oh, the body I PM'ed you about would be tall enough if you used boots over feet, which is what I did, but may not be if you plan to use the HT DX beets.

That may be, but when I put the HT Aldens on my Triad John Carter body with the Sideshow head, is exactly 12 inches to the hairline. Add in about 3/8" for the poofy hair they gave him, and you're at damn near perfect scale. The point is, there ARE bodies out there that are 1/6 scale. . . the TTM-19 is not one of them.

Here are my three possible heads for my custom Indy: Smiling WGP, Shrunken PF, Sideshow (to be repainted of course). I'm leaning toward the PF headsculpt. I have the Hot Toys Indy, but I can't use that head (though it looks great on the German cusotm). I have a Sovereign jacket and MFisher gear ready to go. The last photo is my repainted Sideshow head with a Hot Toys body and Sideshow gear. I do love the Trevor sculpt.

More of my Indy. I've tea soaked sections of his shirt, pants and bag...

Here's a look at my repainted SSC head. I've also got an order in for the shrunken PF version. I'm also going to see how the new TH reg body looks on him. I can't stand how flimsy the stock SSC body is.

This kind of bummed me out, I stumbled across a bag of custom parts for my Indy that was supposedly being painted by Figuremaster Les. That's something that will never be completed. Not sure what to do with this stuff.
