that's exactly what I did. I started out only looking to paint the eyes... then the beard...then some flesh tone. lol
On 1:18th scale figures I haven't run into this. I'll have to strip and repaint the head.

Thanks, man.

What's the best way to remove the SS hat? I know to heat it up in hot water, but should I just try to pry it off by hand or use a butter knife or something?

I have a bent flathead screwdriver and pried mine off with it. I did so only from the back of the head, just in case there was any damage (which, thankfully, there wasn't) and it eventually came off.

You should first heat it up in hot water. Melts the glue. I didn't do that and ruined my sculpt. With a tip from someone on the board i cooked some water. Let him soak for a few minutes. Pried it and it became a lot looser. Repeated the progress and voila. Came of with ease.

Best,

Robert

Hi, guys.

So I now own one of the shrunken PF head sets. How do people recommend I approach handling it? By that I mean, should I cut off the head at the neckline for use on a normal body, or should I modify a body (heavily!) to fit it as one piece?

The later appeals to me more, but I would appreciate hearing about people's experience. I want Indy in a 'Streets of Cairo' look (no jacket, shirt unbuttoned more) and I think there is just enough chest to make that work.

Hey Mate,

I cut the head off at the neck line and used it on an TTL-V3 body and it worked great I have adde to pics to show how mine turned out back in 2011. I look forward to seeing how your Streets of Cairo Indy turns out.

I just got one Friday. I'm thinking of either going with just the head, or cutting it at the lower neck and using the older shallow neck adapters. This way there is no body work, but you'd still have the sculpted neck. (either case I'm going to make a copy for myself in case it gets messed up.)
GL with it!

Good idea making a copy. Unfortunately I have no ability to do that. I will just have to be careful.

After studying it I decided to take the head off the neck. This is supposed to be a doll, not a statue afterall.

I think making it a neckless sculpt to fit on the HT Indy body is the way to go, aesthetically, for Streets of Cairo Indy. :duff

I leave the necks on these because I think a big part of Ford's look is his neck musculature. That said, it's an easy thing to sever and tap. Look forward to all the mods!!

Its amazing how diverse the response to this sculpt has been. From this angle there's no doubt that's Indy we're looking at
