Huge thanks to Paul for making this resculpt and Josh for painting it up...I just received this very paint-up with my stellar LOTR repaints from Josh this week. :D

Lots of work to do to get the clothes/gear weathered and hanging properly on the figures so they live up to these incredible repaints!

Watch for pics of both the 'smirking' Indy and the LOTR customs in the next week or two! :rock :rock :rock

Does anyone have any suggestions for techniques on weathering the SS shirt?

Mate I either soak it watered down tea and let soak for about 45min-1hr or I use Vallejo's Tan Earth and give it the old wash method while it's on the body.

Right on, thanks Ron. Time to break into my wife's tea stash. Any recommended type of tea or concentration? I don't wanna overdo it:rolleyes:

No worries at all buddy glad to help out, and I just use a tea bag dunk it into a cup of warm water then pour the cup into a sauce pan.

Once the tea is in the sauce pan I add another half a cup of water stir then add the shirt. When you do remove the shirt rinse under warm water and thats it myfriend.

does anyone know the best way to swap arms on a soldier story body? im doing a tod indy and have a figure with rubber arms and i want to replace his right arm so no joints are visible. im guessing im going to have to cut them rather than trying to pop the joints off

Just posted these in the German Indy thread but thought I'd throw them on here too. German Indy sculpt with the hat swapped for a fedora:

Looks like a decent Temple of Doom head, but still too big for the body. I definitely like the Raiders head better.

I like it quite a bit... Of course I still have two Indy's displayed with the ROTLA head too, so it's just nice to have the variety.:D

Another plus, if you didn't do a ROTLA head repaint, is the better skin tone.... This head doesn't make Indy look like he was adventuring in Antarctica.

I haven't had my Raiders head repainted yet, but the German head makes him look tougher somehow, I like it.

Try to get the newline indys if you can. If not switch over to the SS boots- they look good.
