There actually is one person who has made a 1/6th shirt with functional buttons.

Oh, I think DiD (or similar) makes all kinds of functional buttoned shirts for their German soldiers. But the scale of the buttons is still oversized is what I meant. The ones on Kim's 1/4th Indy look more closely scaled to a 1/1 shirt in size -- part of the give-away that it couldn't be 1/6th.

Working 1/6th scale buttons are a real pain in the ass to work with though, accurate or not. :lol

I second that. Also, I have never seen real leather that will "scale down" properly. Especially the way that Arnie Kim 1/4 piece does. I think that's about as small as you could go with that type of material (which I'm assuming is actual leather) and keep it in scale.

No i literally mean someone made a shirt with small funtional buttons. It was stripedbox.

This is what i was talking about. 28828776_1663420380378555_5769992055089092914_o.jpg29352162_1663420387045221_3686331279481652633_o.jpg

Yeah as nice as that looks, its a recipe for disaster. Stick with high quality Velcro, snaps, low profile fasteners or magnets.

OK... give up on my search skills... where is the interest thread / contact for downpayment on the new run of Indy clothing by Yunsil I have heard about ?

i think if anything you can put the buttons on the shirt without making them function. I can understand that it would be troublesome to work the shirt if it did.

So glad I was able to get in on that run. Somehow I missed out on all the previous ones, and it was getting painful seeing all the great customs in here while I was stuck with this old HT/SS hybrid. It still works well enough from a distance, but up close... not so much. :D

I agree with bmarz1000. I think it looks terrific davejames. I use that same stand for most of my Indy figures as clipping round the waist makes it more secure in my opinion. Your stand seems to be different though and looks like it has the connecter between the legs.

I have managed to make myself a standard Indy custom to go with all the the others I have. I repainted the Treasure Hunter sculpt and used the hat from my MJ Choi head. I made the stubble go up higher on his face, changed the eyes and darkened the skin tone.

I was tempted by the new Iris run, and will likely regret not jumping on it, but think I'm at a point where I can settle with what I have. It's an expensive business.

I've got two custom Indy's at the moment, one with an inigo v2 head and the other with the Jnix. They aren't perfect, but they are pretty solid representations of the character I think. I also have a completely standard TOD by sideshow.....he was my first indy and like to keep him original.

I still think that the best headsculpt is yet to be made, and I'll maybe hold off on any future investments in clothing until something better than the two headsculpts that I have emerges (if it ever does).

What would be exciting at this point would be if hot toys revisited the character, that would be great.

I can't wait to see how the Iris Indy's turn out though, and the Kato ones.....i love seeing all of these figures!

That looks great Eklecticbadges!

And yeah I'm still waiting for the perfect Indy sculpt too. The V2 looks great up close but doesn't work as well for me from a distance, and the Choi has a slightly goofier expression than I'd prefer. I'm happy enough with my Jnix at the moment, after making the nose a bit shorter and wider, but it's still not totally there.

How much longer can it be for Hot Toys to re-DX Indy like Jack Sparrow?? It's got to be close, he's Disney now too.

:panic:

At least this is what I keep telling myself every night to help me go to sleep since passing on these clothing runs.
