Are people still using the soldier story body for Indy or is there a better one out now?

I'm using TTL 2.0 on my Indy and I prefer it to soldier story body. TTL 3.0 has a sculpted neck:

Here we go a little sneak peak of my Indy and Henry Project. I have repainted both the heads. Ive used the Kingdom Indy cause the expression is more better than the other one as he is going to be riding the German Motorbike with his dad in the sidecar. Just finishing all the weathering at the moment. Hope you enjoy?

Your paintjobs on those 2 heads are excellent mate ! That is the best KOTCS Indy paintup that I've seen so far. It fits LC Indy well. Can't wait to see what ele you come up with ?

Do you mind if I ask what paints you used for these please? I've tried several paints and there aren't any that I'm happy using unfortunately.

Thank you so much :) Yeah I'm also painting up a KOTCS Indy how he appeared in the film also, I'll make him look older. Yeah the paints I use are Citadel Paints, I strip the paint off then paint a few washes of a flesh tone then i use citadel in washes which are fantastic to get the different skin tones. Hope this helps mate

Excellent painting, Greggo!

When I was painting wargames miniatures I moved away from Citadel to Coat d'Arms acryllics as they were so much cheaper. Coat d'Arms used to be the original supplier of the paint in the Citadel pots, so the paint was identical, but about half the price. So these should also work on the heads.

P.S. Indy's gonna get flies in his teeth riding like that!

No problem, Greggo. I haven't bought any new paints for a while, but the last Citadel pot I had was about £2.10 for 12ml, whereas Coat d'Arms were £1.50 for 18ml. They also have seals on the lids that you have to break before using, which is a bonus, since Citadel paints can be opened and closed before you even buy them, and I found some dried out pretty fast.

As for the flies in his teeth, I can see Henry Sr. glaring up at him, and saying: "Shun, do you intend to shwallow all the flies from here to Berlin?"

LOL!!! Very funny :) Yeah they seem pretty good! Like I said I will give them a go! Ive just got so much painting to do its untrue, cant wait to finish the motorbike scene

I always had a huge lead mountain to paint, so now I've given up and gone back to 1/6 figures!

Can't wait to see your finished motorbike scene! I just know it's going to encourage me to buy a motorbike... and a Henry Sr... :gun

I gave up on the miniature Painting along time ago aswell! I only do 1:6 scale stuff now and do some master paint work for upcoming toys and collectables :)

I received a jacket and shirt from Sovereign Studio and decided to do yet another repaint on my Raiders Indy. I have this figure well over a year now and I just can't stop messing with it, while all the figures I bought after Indy are just sitting on the shelf gathering dust :lol At this point the only parts that came with original Sideshow release are pants and the belt that holds them, hat and gun.

Nice work, Jabba. Looking good!

How is the TTL body? Do the pro hands/feet work with it, or do you need to make modifications?

They look great posed like that---kind of looks like junior just got slapped.

The KotCS sculpt also works great for the "don't call me junior" version with the machinegun.

Mighty Jabba, that looks fantastic!! That shirt is amazing - I hope I am able to get one. Are you going to see if you can modify the head to fit on a body that has a built in neck as one piece?

Thanks for the comments everybody :)
Mad Old Jim: TTL body is very much like True Type. You have to cut Sideshow's hand pegs for them to fit. As for the feet I didn't try because I'm using Newline Miniatures boots. Sideshow clothes fit the body well (the sleeves on the jacket are not too short like they were when I was using soldier story body) There's a discussion going on about those bodies in the general section:

Reinhardt: Yeah, Sovereign Studio jacket and shirt are amazing. Along with mfisher's gunbelt, holster and whip, they elevate the figure to above Hot Toys quality. As for the neck, I don't think I have the skills or courage to attempt something like that... yet:D

Where the heck can one get the sovereign studios pieces for this? And I'm still looking for a pro on here who can repaint the hatted head. :)
