the final piece looks amazing! its much better then the stevo one, and fits nicely into the holster. I got something printed at shapeways after Darthviper mentioned it to me and there stuff is really nice too.

I'm thinking of modeling Mals Serenity suspender parts then using ribbon to connect them. you wouldn't happen to have anything like that already done, Darthviper?

I actually haven't had the chance to even start anything else, I've got a big project (that everyone here would enjoy) and have to put modeling time into that.

Those would probably be simple to do though. But I'd be concerned that they would be so thin that they would break easily. Their stainless steel material doesn't have enough detail, but it could be done in silver. What I'd imagine is that they could be made on a sprue and printed in polished silver. But that would be pretty expensive, more than 8x getting it printed in the regular material. And you have to have a minimum of $40 order

ya its a tricky one. I just did a test run of the back bit that attachs to the pants and I am having trouble keeping it to the 1mm detail that shape ways recommends. I'll keep trying.

what is this other big project you are working on? your work is really amazing and has really pushed me to try my own models even though I am still pretty knew to the whole thing. I look forward to see it!

Yeah, that's why the silver would be a good choice with the 0.6mm thickness and added strength. The Frosted Ultra Detail can go to 0.3mm thickness but I just don't think it would be strong enough for that type of application.

I wish I could say more about my project but I can't give details about it until maybe the end of the year.

I'd like to do the accessories before then though, but we'll see how much free time I have.

I'm gonna try the ultra frosted. I used the detail black for a Captain America sheild I made and it seems fairly strong.

I wish they had a rubber or something that I could use for the patches on Mals coat and legs. I think I may just do a flat version then make a mold and use white glue or silicone.

Just make sure you attach it to a sprue--otherwise it'll be rejected for being too small, it has to fit into certain dimensions. Or they'll lose it during the cleaning process.

I'd hope so, but I'd like to do that when I'm able to do Vera as well, but that's not going to be until I finish a different project.

Vera? Sweet! Looking forward to it.

This is a shot in the dark here, but you wouldn't happen to still have those spare Serenity pistols you talked about on the first page?
