He has too much crop top showing compared to the prototype photos:

With the actual costume there was sometimes hardly any skin showing at all between the corset and armoured vest, as the gap was covered by a little of the fabric from his cropped shirt:

Other times the shirt doesn't show at all, and the corset touches the armour in the middle:

On the bike it looks like there's more separation between the armoured parts:

As with Premier's Immortan Joe he's going to need some futzing. I presume the two parts of the corset are a single mould, so can't be separated to cover more of his torso.

A compromise would probably be to push the shirt up under the armour and allow more flesh on view.

Premier did the same thing with Max: made his jacket too short and filled the gap with a longer shirt. He only came together after being put onto a smaller body.

EDIT:

Checking CelebHeights Vernon Wells is estimated to be 5' 10 ½" (11 3/4" in 1/6), so a body with s shorter torso might work.

I really wish the shoulder pads were a bit wider and higher.. I think I'll need to rework that whole piece cause the whole Wez look hangs off them to my tastes.

This isn't a surprise though, they weren't big enough in the promo shots either.

I guess Vern was never the biggest dude. He was pretty regular build in Road Warrior. He was more out of shape in Commando, then again anyone would look out of shape compared to Arnie circa 1985. :exactly:

From the one in hand photo it looks like they might've used the same strange body they did for Max, which had a bulky chest.

I have a spare TTM19 style body that would be almost exactly the right height for Vernon, which also has a fully sculpted torso and arms, and not so prominent pecs. It might pull everything together better.

He just has to escape the clutches of China and get here, because at the moment he's losing the race against the '66 Joker. :lol

I guess I gotta come in and make some noise. View attachment 627624

Relief to finally see it.

Yes, a bit simplified. The head looks great, the rest looks a bit cheap... but some weathering might make it all blend better. Waist is definitely too slender, like Joe's, but without slitting the backside and having it open, not sure it's fixable -- without a wholly new part.

Some drop in quality from proto. Based on the one pic it's a decent starting point. Need see the figure all geared up to really tell how much work is instore.

The way that picture has the figure posed it almost looks like a Ken body.

Based on the proto: Gone are the ragged elbow wraps. Chaps look like a different "leather". Waist has indeed gotten much slimmer. Gloved hands look very simple.

(Yes, this is that often troubled "first picture" analysis)

Luis, where did that picture come from? And is it truly the only one?

LOL the speculation on figure not being shown because it looks bad - collectors are the first to post tons of pics about stuff they're mad about so they can contort themselves over any minor issue(s).

This happens enough to make me consider it a good sign that we haven't seen a ton of pics.

I'm very happy that the head looks good though. The rest, well, yes it's fixable to a degree. And thankfully what isn't fixable can be highly weathered to hide loss of detail.

I'm still very happy about this release, personally.
