Frankly I'd rather Present add another charcter to the roster than do HardyMax for the third time. The kids need their Humongous!
Is that the scott pettersen recast figure?Yeah… I’ll let you be the judge here’s my latest from them mad warrior from present toys.
I'm wondering the same. In some cases, with older issue figures such as the forthcoming Dark Toys Max which is essentially the Cult King figure, where are the recasters getting the figure from? It was released quite a few years back and fairly hard to come by now. The Scott Pettersen Max is extremely rare indeed. This is a funny release whoever got their hands on a Gesus sculpt probably has ties with recasters. I got one and it was limited and expensive so I would think only a few got one. That said I'll see how he looks when they release it and either buy spare parts or just leave it.

That is most likely the case for mass produced figure recasts, like Hot Toys head sculpts or the Dark Toys Deckard head not so long ago, but aren't those extremely limited artist head sculpts usually 3d printed at the artists homes...?However, I'm sure there are people in the factories making extras when they receive the original, either for themselves or to distribute to companies for recasting.

Those often have super small runs of like only 20 or 30 pieces being made, sometimes even less. I really don't think those are being produced at big factories, so that people there would get the chance to make extras...
recasters can purchase genuine head from artist or from someone who has them and recast them without permission. even if each sculpt are numbered they can erase it before recasting. unless it is a 1 of 1 item you wont know who sold your sculpt out. $1k sculpt isnt much consider how much they make from recasting and still cheaper and more efficient than hiring a sculptor.I have wondered with the smaller runs how the sculpts end up in the hands of recasters. I had even wondered if some paint studios are quiety making copies. It's such a shame as it creates distrust in the custom collecting community
