Outstanding stuff, the final article is no doubt going to blow everyone away.
Have the shown off the final model somewhere?Last update - It's been 12 months and I'm very nearly finished. All the fabrication is done, all the wiring is done and all the painting is done. Last jobs to do are the final assembly, fitting the side windows, paint touch-ups and applying the stickers. Hopefully, it will be completed this weekend.
I want one! What a wonderful job you’ve done! Commendable!Last update - It's been 12 months and I'm very nearly finished. Man. I loved seeing pics of your shed.I've not done the full reveal yet. There were many issues, particularly with the doors, that only manifested itself once the model was fully assembled. Correcting these faults proved very difficult, because it was tricky to handle such a large model within the confines of my shed and i really didn't want to have to dismantle it all over again.
I sourced the images from one of the Spinner threads on the RPF forums. After making some size adjustments and to match the blue paint i used, i printed it onto sticky paper. Then i covered the sheet with a sticky vinyl film. As they are paper based, I'm not able to get them wet in any way, ruling out any rain drenched shots. I'm missing the 2 decals on the windscreen and the door glass, as I couldn't think of a way to do them.Absolutely stunning. How did you make the decals, they look sharp.
