Re: 1:6 "Out-A-Time Kid" headsculpt

Indeed - it was the Dexter case... stupidity from Showtime as it only serves to advertise their product further. I only got into Dexter after seeing the customs on these boards!

And that Dexter sculpt was something special, too. However, this MJF sculpt looks to even top that. Great work, Trev!

Re: 1:6 "Out-A-Time Kid" headsculpt

short round- yeah, it is all a bit exciting. The thing that triggered it, though, was the way the hair of my original sculpt got damaged after molding....so just like Doc Brown and his "Do not open until 1985" letter....I figured, what the hell?! (I'm nothing if not indecisive. :))

OH NO! Is the sculpt ok?

Re: 1:6 "Out-A-Time Kid" headsculpt

I'm enjoying playing around with the options. The hair sort of broke off in places after I made my molds, so I decided to play around with the slightly different styling. If I like what comes out of it, I'll offer some options for you guys eventually. I'm just trying to have some fun with it. :)

ShortRound asked about the Nike Mags too. I'm thinking I may have to try and whip them up for you guys, time permitting. I'll only be able to offer them cast in solid resin, so they'll take a little work to fit to a figure. Probably not too hard for you guys, though.

Things should be ready to roll soon. I'm going to hold off on flesh tinted castings for the time being. It's a possibility for the future, but I need to do a lot of experimenting before I can find a rythym. I'll let you guys know.

Thank you all!

Calcifer- I'm working on Christopher Lloyd at the moment, to complete the BTTF set. I'm almost finished with my Firefly series, and after that I do have a lot of characters I've been wanting to do...probably not ones that a lot of folks would want, but I still want to sculpt them for fun. :)

Jaws, Jaws, Jaws! :)
Ah, sorry... seriously, great sculpts Trev.

cool, we'll see if we can get them made too. Not sure when, but I'll play around when I have free time away from work.

Re: 1:6 "Out-A-Time Kid" headsculpt

Care to share any future projects Trev? 

I kinda like keeping things to myself until the sculpts are done :D But that's only because it can take me a seriously long time to get these little heads done. My schedule is usually packed, so this kind of stuff sits on the side for months. No sense getting hopes raised if a sculpt isn't done.

The stuff I really want to do right now are some of my favorite TV characters...probably wouldn't excite many, but I still want to make them. :) There are certainly some film characters I'm still anxious to make too, though.

Thanks for being interested!!

I just have to reiterate how amazingly perfect this sculpt is! I can't wait to have this atop my (currently headless) Marty.

I would love a pair of Mags, too! I look forward to see how those come out.

I like you style Trevor. I agree not to get hopes up and start a thousand interest threads and NEVER update them like some zkulptors around here, I mean sculptors. :lol:lol:rotfl
