If you're referring to pictures of Old Ben with Medi Vader, I'm going to do some later, if you mean the films stills, we're almost there, I've been going in film sequence, I shot off about 15 last night, posted 5 last night, just posted these 5 and I'm in the process of the last few leading up to the duel

Great review... and I think its pretty accurate across the board. The body seem to be the only big issue and at this point we know what to expect. Although this is the first time I've had the frozen elbow issue.
And the paint does seem to vary a bit, the shading on the hair for mine has a more natural looking blend to it.
BTW, why no Boushh review... I wondered if you'd ever get to her?

Bend obi, put a medi stand on vader(clear can't really see it with the cape) and it shouldn't look bad.

i couldnt agree more. i really thought i was gonna break this one trying to get his arm up to his chin in that classic thinking pose. i still wish the arm would bend up a little more.

man, these 2 pics are awesome. it almost looks real. im starting to freak out here. you forgot to use his hand with the trigger finger to make that tapping gesture to distract the 2 stormtroopers.

Beaten to the punch again!
I just got my Medicom ROTJ Vader yesterday that I wanted to match up with Old Ben and it was apparent even as I was unpacking Darth that this was not going to work. I posed them together and (IMHO) it just looked ridiculous. Had to put DV on a separate shelf as far away from Obi as I could get.
The Medi is a tremendous figure, but all in all I have to say Ben is even better! Much easier to get the detail right on a non-human face. The likeness on Old Ben is just insane. Look at the pic posted by MaulFan of SS Obi with Medi DV. Looks like Alec Guiness doing promo shots with a Vader manikin...
Come on SideShow! Enough with the Lukes already. All of our dioramas are waiting on F'n Darth! Make it happen...
BTW, absolutely STUNNING new composites on the Death Star, MF. Most of those look like production stills.

Thanks QGF. The challenge with doing these stills sometimes is it's more difficult to get the figure's skin tones to look more like the film, especially where humans are effected by heat and things that make our faces redder and such. The Death Star is a mix of blue and teal tones to get an almost grey look to everything and the Ben figure superimposes into that better where most of the locales on Tattooine had a strong red hue to them, the SSC Ben skin doesn't translate to a redder shade very well or easily in photoshop. I also find the more I do these images of a particular figure, I get a better feel for what things I need to do to get them into frame better, if I went back and redid some early ones they'd probably look better, I may do it for kicks, we'll see though. Got about 20 frames of the duel coming.

I got my "Old Ben" in today on U.P.S.'s second delivery attempt. I am VERY pleased with it. All of you guys that have him already are correct. The likeness is incredible! The only thing I'd take out the white "doll dot" in his eyes. I may paint over that someday.
Oh yeah, how are you guys that have done it make him hold his hand to his chin using that hand similar to the "arrow holding" hand of the SS Legolas? I can't get the hand close enough to his face to do that pose! Let me know. Thanks!
I think Sideshow's team has perfectly captured Alec Guinness's likeness. You truly have to see it in person to really appreciate it! I'm VERY happy I was able to get him!

Well, I finally got mines today, but I have to send it back without even taking it out of packaging. The nose came chipped and there was a piece missing on it (the nose that is). I hope sideshow replies back quickly because they haven't responded to my previous two emails regarding other issues with my other collectibles.
