Go for it! You WON'T be disappointed! Remember, Guiness had not just a gut, but a padded behind as well. :monkey3

The only time you can really tell is if the robe is of for the padding otherwise it's not needed IMO.

This is an amazing figure. I hated having to sell it. Trevor's sculpt is just sooooo good!! :rock

It was one of those head sculpts that when you're repainting it (I repaint everything lol... it really doesnt need it!!), it's an absolute pleasure to do. The details on this sculpt are just ........... wow :bow

damn... after looking through my pics again I'm really gonna have to buy this fella again this year. Thanks a bunch fellas... making me drain my already scrawny money supply :lol

I mean.... that's a 1/6 sculpt. It's good enough to be 1:1!! :rock

Trevor's greatest skill as a sculptor of portraits is the emotion he can put into them. His Old Ben, his T2 PF, Indy. Plenty of people can sculpt nice human portraits, but the subtle ways Trev adds character into his portraits is amazing, and the better ones can have a variety of looks depending on the lighting, which is even more amazing. Old Ben can look happy, sad, focused, almost anything if you change up the lighting, I was able to put the figure head into film stills from various parts of the film and in the right lighting to mimic the scene, the appropriate emotion was on the face.

yeah definatly. great sculpt. how many ppl here have repainted theres then, and in your opinions would it be worth me getting the head repainted when i get this figure?

No repaint required. One of the few SS SW figs you can say that about.

Yup, the only reason to feel need for repaint on the production apps is variations on the quality of the white brushing into the grey at the edges of his hair, some figures have a smoother transition that others, otherwise, aside from a slight gloss, he came out quite nice, and his eyes help the look instead of hurting it.

Old Ben has been on my display shelf since they day he arrived and he will most likely be a permanent feature. Will only look better with ANH Vader arriving soon. Have to agree this one is a must have.

Personally, I do not like the factory paint hue chosen for the skin. Makes him look ashen and sickly....the sculpt is fantastic......I am getting mine repainted and cannot wait to see it...

Not a hating on Medicom comment, but I really can't wait for SSC Vader because the scale between Old Ben and Medi-Vader is so horrible, it can't even pass for decent.

I have my corner shelves and on one I will put ROTS Anakin and Obi Wan and on the lower one will go ANH Vader and Ben.

I was thinking about throwing my Dead Mall Santa's fat suit on him to see if it would look good. Anyone tried that?
