Old Ben is one of the very few figures that has never left the display case. I love him, not the least because I'm proud of my custom paint work on him. I almost don't want HT to make one. I'll want it, and I'll be forlorned over how my beautiful custom figure now looks like arse.

If the rumour about 6 more HT figures from ANH is true, one surely has to be Old Ben.

^^ That's my wishlist. Old Ben and Tarkin would be fantastic. Hope they include the training remote w/Ben and the Interrogator Droid w/Tarkin (and a mouse droid w/Vader, while we're on the subject).

I'm a huge Kenobi fan, young and old, thats probably why none of them have ever set well with me. Really hoping to see HT try their hand at an Old Ben.

Well, I dont remember specific numbers given to movies but a boardie( who has proven his worth) has an inside source says there is like 10 or so OT figures in the works.

Even old Ben with a repaint? Im a huge Kenobi fan too. In fact, as much as I rag and have a strong distaste for all things PT, Obi is one of two characters I'd consider getting from the prequels.

just saw the HT one don't think it looks as good as sideshow one imo.

To me sculpt and paint application are a lot better than Sideshow's attempt. Problem is Hot Toys Ben looks 10 years youger than he should to be a accurate rendition of ANH Kenobi.

Well, i do see a younger Alec Guiness. Granted it would best fit as a ROTS +10 Obi-Wan, i'm just amazed at the ability Hot Toys has when it comes to convey skin inperfections.

Honestly even straight out of the box with the original paintjob and no skin texture, I think this blows the HT one away.

I just got mine, and was worried it would have that overly-glossy, glazed-over look I've seen in some pics, but it thankfully doesn't look nearly that bad in person.

Really? It wasn't described that way. And it still appears to have the same paint for the eyes and hair as on the original heads I've seen.
