I am experimenting with colouring pencils to obtain stretches and worn areas... and I am staying within the lines on my colouring book :)
then using silver paint for really worn areas and finally playing with a silver pencil to ooowwwww...still got to ad washes and pastels
Don't forget powdered graphite! Makes things come to life!!!! The only problem is sealing with a spray takes away the metallic feel, so I usually rub the graphite on in the end and don't do much touching afterwards. :lecture

Mark, lookin' good mate! Likin' the weathering- it's a bit more subtle-

2nd the powered graphite! It's good stuff! I'd totally forgotten about it!
Thanks for the tip Artoo!

Feroze- :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

wow cheers Artoo and aver one... I can weather him up and up and up :) I the suit will have dirt on it and I will not stop until you are happy with him mate.

Shyam... yeah I think I got your pm you were gonna send me some pics and see if we can work a trade out.

As for the paint rubbing off the boot humm... did you wash the armour in cool soapy water before undercoating it? I sometimes give stuff a light sand to give it a key.
