well heres some better pics, and thank you so much again, you guys are awsome and i could have never done somthing like this without you all. This thread and these kits have been such a highlight in my life in a very dark period(lost my girlfriend of three years,work 60+hours a week etc) , it has been such a great and uplifting project. The paint scheme is superb Lordragnar. I've noticed, while doing mine, choosing a unique colour is really hard but I gotta say you've nailed it man! Especially the shoulder pads (which are superbly weathered) and the rust effects you've got going here and there.
Time to go back to the drawing board with mine I think lol

hahah... Well a wee bit of progress this evening.... started slapping the undercoats on Titus Armour....

Mort... for your Greedo... the hands just need warming and then the pegs pulling out and the TT popping in... the feet... well if you got the Afro TT slim then the foot pegs just plug in... if you got the TT Slim white guy, then he has the regular TT double ball joint peg. So warm the boot and pull the peg out. then drill a hole in the boot to make the hole where the peg goes a bit bigger... but only a bit... then steam the boot like buggery and it goes mega soft and you can push the ball joint in oowww nurse

Ahh it makes sense now, the tt slim i got was sweeney todd and didn't come with the wrist or ankle parts! I've found the wrist parts on ebay, but do normal TT ankle ball joints fit into slim? can only find them attached to disembodied feet online

Mort, yen all the balljoints are the same so any ones will do... check out Darren at www.collectablekitbash.co.uk I think they are about £2.50 for a set of balljoints.

Ooo they have the african american ones, that means no need to drill greedo's boot? (haha greedo was a christmas gift from my girlfriend, even with the body improvement i dont want to cut him or drill him if avoidable!)

edit: nevermind they arent off the slim!

edit edit: realised i misunderstood difference of afro slim and all foot pegs are identical!

thanks wanderer, have you posted pics of yours? this thread is so massive its hard to keep track of all the marines. And yeah i suffer from the "i _____#@in hate it until its all together, then it magically gells. And thanks dorgs, the shoulder pad has a subtle "D S C B" on it, a little homage to my heroes of paint and rtv

I was going for the heavily weathered gothic painting style, and thanks the color scheme was risky but i was just trying to match the cover of the Horus Heresy novel "Horus Rising" which has a pleasing look. Thanks again guys for all the inspiration, ill be putting some more pics up(and hopefully better ones) after christmas

And yeah, its sooooooo hard to choose a good color scheme, because i want to do them all!! dark angels, blood angels, crimson fist, imperial fist, i evan hate ultramarines, but dam dorgs yours make the boys in blue look badass!!! so i want an ultramarine, space wolf, lamentor, black templar, blood raven,. . . . . . . and we havent evan started on chaos or specialty marine,, death guard, khorne beserker, slaneesh noise marine, tzeentch thousand sons, possessed marines, custodes, pre-heresys(yay one is almost done) , death watch, the erased legions(wolf brothers, and one othe nameless legion the space wolves have destroyed after the heresy). . . oh s**%$ the list goes on

Bit more done on Titus......need to scratch the armour up next and touch up the gold... its looking a wee bit brozey to me so I may have to repaint the lot.
