It is beyond crazy that SS goes to match HT prices when the quality is this far apart!

The paint apps on SS Snake do look a bit cartoonish.

they changed my flexpay to the 25th of January, so if the figures ships on the 31 of Dec. they could have left it as it was and have it early january, now have to tell them to charge it after January begins. at least will be getting it before the 25th of Jan.

A visual progression. The sculpt did loose a lot of detail, the vein that was on the forehead and the stubble has lost detail it seems.

That's true, but it looks pretty apparent to be that the beard no longer has grit to it.

Also the veins on the sides of the head and the main one on the forehead are gone. Red around the eyes, and nose, its not just lighting. The hair from the con pics to the final release have lost detail and color as well.

It's a drop off from the press shots sure, but I'll still take it over nothing. I don't see the final as "bad" at all.

Why doesn't SSC send these early figures to people who can take good photos of the figure??

Thanks guys. I will put this sculpt to the test and take a ton of pics. Glad I held off on a custom Snake & Matrix :lol

Some of the customs I've seen of Matrix on youtube don't have rubber arms but have the jointed arms, but the sculpts aren't near what Hot Toys has in their proto. pics.

I actually prefer the non rubber arms. The visible single joint doesn't bother me and they could cover it up with the black camo. The thing about those rubber arms is you can't leave them in a certain position for too long. I mean look at this Snake figure. The arms have a visible joint, but it doesn't hurt the look at all imo. HT should ditch the rubber for Matrix.

Not to derail to much but Snake and Matrix seem like figures that are going to have their arms posed up anyways not really down or just hanging like most rubber arms are going to be posed.

Well that's that after months of speculation as to if this is still gonna look like a ****** sideshow figure. Yup. It does. Can't say I'm surprised but still don't know why I'm asked to pay 150 dollars for this.
