1/6 SSC Snake Plissken Figure

Great job on the mods peeps I am going to attempt to replace the scar on the left cheek with a thin layer of sculpy. May involve scratching the scar area deeper to enable a better base for a build up of the scar, or alternatively adding a gritty material to acrylic paint to build the area ever so slightly

One last pic for tonight... touched up the paint a bit. He definitely benefits from losing the extra clean doll look. I will say the stock paint overall is pretty good on him, just uninspired and the eye has no personality.

Just opened mine...Haven't taken any pics, but these are just a few things I noticed....

As others have said, the body is ridiculously too tight...I couldn't bend the elbows at all....
I don't care for all the soft rubber used in the accessories, pouches, boots...
Is it just me, or are the guns a bit too over scale?...in the sideshow pics they seemed ok, but looking at them in person they seem kinda big...I know, I know...most of SS guns are kinda on the big side...

On a plus side, the head looks better than I expected...

I really want one licensed figure of Snake, but Im so tempted to return it...It isn't wowing me the way I really hoped it would...The way we all hoped it would...I know people on here are going to customize the heck out of this to make it look good...But I don't trust my skills enough to make it look like I'd want it to look...

Mine was sent back to Sideshow today. The sculpt is fine, the problem is pretty much everything else...

Just got a chance to unpack Snake & first impressions are pretty good.

I took the jacket off straight away to check the arms. Both of the forearms were rotated outward 90° and locked up, so If tried to bend them there would have been tears. A bit of heat and he's good to go.

The boots will need a bit of heat to get them to do the right thing too. Other than having to tuck the shirt in properly and hike his pants up the clothes are pretty well done. I might move the rear belt loop up to help the way the belt sits at the back. I think the pants are causing problems at the ankles too, that's why the boots are playing up for some of us. Haven't checked that yet.

He's needs a bit of work, but it's definitely not a train wreck. Happy so far, pics to follow this weekend.

Got started on customizing Snake today... took some sandpaper to the coat and then used a Tamiya weathering kit to knock off that show-room shine. Also gave the pants a tea bath and used a bit of the weathering kit on them.

Fantastic collection, but man does that highlight the drought of EFNY merchandise compared to other classic films. There's the Sideshow figure, the old McFarlane staction figure, the NECA Mego-style figure and the two Funko ReAction figures. Anything else?

Having cancelled my UK order I could blow my wad of Reward Points on this and get the Ex for $73 including delivery and tax, and even earn awhopping $1.50 of RPs into the bargain!

Shame it's not still on their site, I'm waiting on a cancellation with Collectable Kitbash, or could order for FP.com for £113 plus delivery, but site says they're not getting stock until 30th April!

I'm put off buying direct from SS these days because all the excess charges to international customers means you may as well add at least 30% to any purchase. Also makes any coupon / discount pretty much redundant.

I'm so torn if I want this. It will probably be the one and only 1/6 snake but with the pricepoint where it is, minimum touch ups to make him accurate, and worst of all breaking pieces and parts - I just don't know. At that price I don't want the work.

This also makes me fear for much anticipated 1/6 beetlejuice

It's a pretty terrible figure, minimal touch ups aren't enough to make him accurate you need major mods and outright replaced parts! Will we ever see another snake figure? It's possible and very plausible that a far superior unlisenced one can come out and blow this out of the water.

You're clearly a talented artist, but think you have gone a little far with the rouge here - he looks like he's been hitting the booze pretty hard. Maybe it's the pain caused by that broken arm. Kudos to you though, I wish I had half your talent.

Did you even order this? Because I think it came out pretty good. Yes, I don't have your I OWN OVER 200 FIGURES, SO I'M AN EXPERT PEDIGREE.
