I'd definitely repaint the eye... the placement really isn't bad, but it's a really badly design decal.

I really like your modifications. Straight forward stuff that anyone could do, and made a big difference. Nice job!

You're clearly a talented artist, but think you have gone a little far with the rouge here - he looks like he's been hitting the booze pretty hard. Maybe it's the pain caused by that broken arm. Kudos to you though, I wish I had half your talent.

I'm guessing you could do it, no problems. But no talent slobs like myself will have to stick with the original (once I actually get it). Going to have a good go at distressing the jacket, though.

Do you really want to throw more money at this given you already spent in the region of $300?

Yeahhh you're right, I should save my money. I think I will just repaint his eye tomorrow and end it with that :3

I cannot believe how much you had to shell out for this 4th rate figure, you have my sympathy. I still haven't heard back about getting a replacement head either, so you're not the only one waiting.

That's kind of the rub on Snake... I'd like to swap him to the Banner body (and still may end up doing that permanently) but it's also a pretty expensive body and I doubt I could get 1/2 of that back from selling off Snake's body.

Sounds like there will be a lot of returns and exchanges... I can't recall many figures having a consistenly broken arm like this. Not to mention the cheap pouch closure design that will break on everyone eventually. I'm thinking I might try using magnets on all of them

My arms are okay, but one elbow joint (the right one) is noticeably looser than the left (which was frozen and needed to be heated)

I might end up doing the body swap for a third party body.

Yeah, if I ordered it direct from SS to the UK I'd end up paying about $250 for Snake with shipping / customs, etc and I can see he ain't worth that. Hoping to pick him up locally once stock hits UK dealers.

Recieved today.In hand it's actually not so bad considering i paid nothing for it,just shipping.

Now...Im missing 3 gun bullets because i didn't assume the bullets were loose in the barrell,the barrell opens easily too

I have no talent whatsoever on painting. I might have to commission someone to fix the head and the jacket.

I think regardless of the talent of the (re)painter, it doesn't make it look any more like Kurt Russell because the sculpt doesn't look enough like him. Then again, neither did the proto so we kind of knew what we were getting from the start.

I disagree, I think the Prototype was 50% more Kurt than what we got. But the prototype still wasn't perfect, but would of been welcomed more warmly.

I think it looks so much better by just adjusting the eye to look more upwards.Gives him a meaner look that represents him well from the movie.
