1/6 SSC Snake Plissken Figure

Sometime Monkey Depot will sell empty boxes. Don't know if they will be parting out Snake though.

These boot feet are killing me. Heat works but they slowly go back to "normal" and Snake has break from his search and takes a quick nap.

I'm gonna cut them off at the seam to get some decent ankle movement. The top should push down over any gaps, the material/vinyl is pretty nice, it's just got to much mold memory.

Planning on it, I got one of those old wooden bats from the 90's 12" baseball players from starting line up, going to add the nails and paint it up if I can find it that is

I paid mine early today the rep said that she expects to ship first thing on monday so I hope I get it by friday. I'm gonna try to get some acrylic paint for the jacket.

The sculpt looks like Snake from certain angles. But, I can't get over how the paint job is so sloppy from all of the photos that were posted.

My figure ships next month. I couldn't cancel without incurring cancellation fees, so I'm planning to return it when it's delivered. But, I'm intrigued about the different repaints and modifications you guys are doing.

If this thing doesn't sell well and hits clearance at the £60 mark, I'd be tempted to pick one up and bust out my dormant scale modelling skills to repaint the face and body, and age the clothes and kit.

As it stands there's no way I'd pay £110+ for this figure. Needs too much work to look decent.

Overall lets face facts here folks. This is a lame attempt at a much beloved hero of early 80s filmmaking. I can't see Kurt Russell in that headsculpt no matter which angle you put it at. I know its a toy but it looks too much like a toy if you get what i'm saying. The paintjob on this figure is unforgivably bad and it requires a repaint just to make it look somewhat like kurt but who wants to do that? Most people I would say don't have the skills to do repaints. I'll always be looking at the shelf thinking ' what a letdown'

The accessories are cheap and not well done and overall the body proportions i.e the head size to body size is way off. It just doesn't cut it even at that price tag

Still waiting on maybe ht to do a proper snake figure but that could be a while. Wasted opportunity.
