These are some nice shots. Some of the most flattering that show the customary Plissken scowl.
But I can tell it's one of those sculpts that's frustrating to photograph, and no doubt does look better in hand.
I can actually kind of see some Kurt Russell in these shots!
Especially that first one.
the HS is forgivable. the paintjob, still is crap. i'm put off with that hasbro beard paintjob.
This shot in particular looks like Kurt. More great shots Pete.
Skull, where did you get the table seen in your review?
Overall lets face facts here folks. This is a lame attempt at a much beloved hero of early 80s filmmaking. I can't see Kurt Russell in that headsculpt no matter which angle you put it at. I know its a toy but it looks too much like a toy if you get what i'm saying. The paintjob on this figure is unforgivably bad and it requires a repaint just to make it look somewhat like kurt but who wants to do that? Most people I would say don't have the skills to do repaints. I'll always be looking at the shelf thinking ' what a letdown'
The accessories are cheap and not well done and overall the body proportions i.e the head size to body size is way off. It just doesn't cut it even at that price tag
Still waiting on maybe ht to do a proper snake figure but that could be a while. Wasted opportunity.
HT isn't going to make one.
They've prolly moved on from cult characters not played by Arnold. Look at The Crow and how deep discounted he's been.
It looks great because you can't see the snowflake.
Y u mad, bro?Do you work for Hot Toys? Nothing is ever set in stone, unless you are using some kind of magic ball that predicts the next 5 years. Another company could also come along in that time that has a amazing sculptor maybe Storm Collectables will make a movie icon series you never know. "Never say, never"
Thanks
Thanks, I have and this will do, it could have be better, but it also could have been worse
Here's my review
Nice review buddy and great pics! Still haven't decided if i'm going to pick this up or not. I may if a coupon comes out. I want a Plissken in the collection and who knows when i'll have the chance to get a 1:6 figure of him.
Thanks

Here's my review
I dumped my rewards points on him, it only cost me 56 dollars shipped so I'm more than happy with my purchase, I think its a nice figure that didn't live up to its potential, it could have been a great but its not, its ok. There's a list of things I would have like to see done better most of all the eye. I wish Sideshow would just abandon that eye system, it hurts every figures likeness they use it on, Thankfully Plissken only has one eye
I stand on that this figure does look nice on the shelf, under LED lights, its Snake Problem is we have been spoiled by Hot Toys, they really make killer figures, Truth is sideshow today isn't half as good as Hot Toys was 5-6 years ago. IF they dropped the eyeball thing and could get a better factory paint job out the door it would go along way.
Case in point
Sideshow:2014
Hot toys:2009
Sideshow Drake looks the way I often feel.
three sheets to the wind, or stoned?
Superman, Drake, and Snake all have jaws that are way too broad. I plan on changing that with Snake and hope it helps the likeness.
Man, that Supes looks awful.
Good call... Snake is at about Hot Toys quality from 2009, and even then I'd still give the nod to HT as the likeness is better and there's more skin texture But, we're essentially paying about 25% less than a current HT figure, but getting quality from 6 years ago
